Well you'll feel even worse when I tell you it's 1 out of 7 :biggrin:

But seriously, 4 cup games across 2 competitions, one we progressed and the other we didn't because of two very unlucky goals conceded.

And 5 points out of 9 from 3 league games, two of which were away, one of them at Arsenal, is completely in the realms of normal for a team expected to finish between 2nd-4th.

So are we going to pretend that everything is going swimmingly and nothing out of the ordinary has happened?

Crazy... Well It's fair to assume Conte won't be here next season. But that must just be media stories.

I don't know why it's so hard to believe that sacking Conte is also in the realms of possibility, just look at the managers we've sacked in the past, this club is known for sacking managers.

I can't see Conte being sacked without a run of poor results.

Agree that the icing is no longer on the cake and it will be interesting to see what happens after the transfer window with Conte.

I'm hoping he stays and gives it his best to get us in to the CL next year despite any disappointments he may have on the transfer front.

Why are people sh*tting on pre-Roman Chelsea? We were still a decent team with a big enough fan base, at the end in debt yes but had enough quality to attract buyers. If it weren't Roman it would be someone else.

Agreed. I'd say Roman wanted to buy a football club to raise his profile. In that murky Russian world, it was probably safer to be the billionaire benefactor or Chelsea FC, than a billionaire no one knew- less likely to get bumped off or have your assets seized.

I think someone else would have taken over; doubtful we would have been as successful as it turned out under Roman, but trophies aren't everything.

Not that you'd think so judging by comments oh here. Winning trophys are their "reason detre".  Its like an illness with some posters.

“Juliano Belletti is in the frame to become new director of football at #cfc as Luis Enrique remains favourite to replace Conte if he leaves in the summer. “

Bit left field with Belletti. Also I’m not keen on taking Ex Barca managers. I’m not totally convinced by them. I know he won La Liga and CL but I want to see them do well elsewhere first.

Don't know how. When our assets were valued higher than our debts. Shouldn't believe everything you read in the Daily Star.

Similarly nobody seems to have actual public knowledge of Roman's financing structure of Chelsea. I have read in more than one report that it is in the form of a loan which a holding company repays. Perhaps we might be bankrupt again then?

clap, clap, clap, clap,

Chelsea!

clap, clap, clap, clap,

You too, missed the reference.

2000 - Chelsea today became the first English top-flight side to field more than one player born in the 21st century in a single domestic match (Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi). Youth.

So do you guys feel good, surprised, indifferent? I think it tells we have some good players coming through the ranks who are still far away from making a differece.

Makes me feel old!

This blooding of youth has gone far enough I tell you!

Wow.  Another press conference with same questions repeated which Antonio answered exactly the same as the last 6 times.

When he decides to leave/is sacked, it will be as much about the absolutely nonsensical repetition and gossip reporting as it will be about any lack of support from club leadership.

The f**king media.....I mean make no mistake, our Club does a fine job putting unlimited pressure on our managers themselves, but damn this media man. They just cant wait to see him go.......and yes its cuz they hate a strong Chels.........ever asked yourself how come the likes of flopp NEVER NEVER EVER gets sh*t put on him? He can fail year after year.......and yet if someone dares talking sh*t they immediately say ohh I cant believe this.......you have to give him more time......were you really expecting him to win the title this season and on and on. Its like a f**king c movie. But if Conte dares Draw a game.......they on him like flash.

Looks more likely Carroll was a transfer target with Chelsea now being linked with Dzeko and Giroud. Its wierd you start with the worst player and end up bidding for the better player out the 3 last. Maybe Carroll was more appealing due to age and being English but he is never fit, would have also got more money for him if he was sold on.

It's not the media who hates us, it's other team's fans and that's the target audience. Unfortunately some of our fans play into their hands by swallowing all the rubbish being speculated on.

West ham did deny any dealings with Chelsea for Carroll so it could have just been rumours or smoke screen.

David Moyes denied anyone had contacted him regarding Carroll but he is on a 6 month contract and most likely has very little say. Also Carroll was having injections at the beginning of January, i expect Chelsea was waiting for the injury news. Its all old news anyway, just stating Dzeko and Giroud are similar players.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has hinted he has little to do with the club's transfer dealings, with the board deciding which players are bought or sold rather than him.

I think that is completely enough ....

This is so, so wrong !!!

If you owned Chelsea would you give managers total control?
