That is why I can't stand sports media outlets sometimes. They make up a story about Conte threatening to leave, then milk it as much as they can and now they're saying everything is fine.

Wouldn't be surprised if its true.

I bet the club is sweating bullets right now after this Lukaku-disaster. He was clearly Contes first choice and not the first or last player we have failed to land for him. He's got a history of walking if the club can't provide the tools he thinks are necessary and right now we are certainly f**king things up rapidly.

Lukaku was his first choice? I remember he was ready to quit a few weeks back precisely because we were trying to sign Lukaku. They're playing both sides against the middle! 

I certainly don't think us looking like we know what were doing in the eyes of the media are helping, we won the PL last season, with a fabulously entertaining manager, the Kudos to come and play under Conte should be a no brainer, i don't care what some on here think, we are being portrayed as inept, i know its early but Conte hears whats being said, or he is a lot like some on this forum, that won't have this view.....

If I'm honest the articles are worrying me more so now than they did before. I'm sure it is just speculation however it seems we are continually missing out on transfer targets, and Conte has previous of leaving clubs in these situations. He's a ruthless decision maker and if this drags on for a couple more weeks I think he may call it a day. If we lose him due to board in-competencies I'll be more angry at this club than ever before. Possibly the only other occasion comparable is when we sacked Ancelotti...

The speculation is pointless, nobody on twitter or in the papers knows. The only thing we can judge it on is whether he's signed a new contract yet, and he hasn't, and that is something to be concerned about.

I think there is some truth in this rumours. Why else Conte is not renew his contract yet ? I`m pretty sure because he want the board to take the players he want. So far they are not doing any of this.

He may not leave now, but he can certainly do it next year. Or the board clean their hands once again with the manager and sack him.

 

 

Just a theory, what if Chelsea want Conte to sign a new deal before transfers occur? While Conte will only sign if transfers acc occur. Hmm
