August 30, 201510 yr Scored a penalty for Vitesse today. And also missed one... (Solanke on from the 75th min, another 90 for Nathan) Edited August 30, 201510 yr by the special one
August 30, 201510 yr Yeah he looked good though he also created the penalty he missed.Nathan only got 60 mins but looked lively Solanke came on for the last 15 mins and also looked good bagging a last minute goal Brown got 5 mins didn't really have anytime to show much but played LW which looks more suited to him than RW as he can come in and shot of his right foot.Promising performances from all of them might put a cheeky bet on Solanke to be top scorer in the league as he did look threatening. Baker was the best performer of the day in my eyes but probably wasn't giving as much attention to the Vitesse players. Edited August 30, 201510 yr by PedroMendez
September 24, 201510 yr Any more News on him? Is he getting any more games, full 90? etc He's getting his minutes, whenever I check he's in the starting line up. I haven't really seen him play much, but from what I've seen he's doing pretty good.

October 2, 201510 yr Gone are the days when Chico Hamilton could debut for us at 16 and score away to Tottenham. You've got to be an old man before you get a look in these days !!
October 18, 201510 yr Another goal for the lad beat the keeper at his near post with a free kick in the 7th minute. It was a 22 yard(ish) free kick just off centre to the right. He whipped a dipping shot over the wall into the bottom corner the keeper got a hand to it and he might feel he could have done better to keep it out but it was a good strike none the less.(Might need and edit when i finally see a replay.) Now a goal for Solanke, 20 mins in, penalty slotted into the bottom left hand corner, cooly done. Edited October 18, 201510 yr by PedroMendez
October 19, 201510 yr Smartly taken free kick for his goal, mugged the keeper right off at his near post.

What's your opinion of the Chelsea loanees?
November 2, 201510 yr Thanks for posting this it was an interesting read. What's your opinion of the Chelsea loanees? Not very impressive so far. Lewis Baker impressed me with his excellent technique but I doubt if he'll be ready for Chelsea's first team next season. Solanke has already scored 4 goals this season, but hasn't impressed me at all. His first touch should improve, he's not very strong in personal duels but he's only 18 years old. An Telegraaf analyst compared him to Zlatan after the match against Ajax. Izzy Brown & Danilo Pantic have been very poor and are mainly playing for the Vitesse reserves. Nathan definitely is very talented, but not consistent enough. On the site I post before (http://fromarnhemwithlove.com/) we bring all the latest news about Vitesse including the Chelsea loanees. We'll write 4 more 'Blues in the Eredivisie' articles as their are 4 more loanees at Vitesse :)
November 2, 201510 yr I must say, Izzy Brown hasn't really impressed me when I've seen him, but I can see Solanke doing well with us

We'll write 4 more 'Blues in the Eredivisie' articles as their are 4 more loanees at Vitesse :) Interesting that you say that about Solanke, from what I have seen of him in a Vitesse shirt he has looked pretty good and has maybe lacked a bit of service from the likes of Rashica and Oliynyk who in my eyes have been a little greedy, but I don't watch regularly and it's usually through very biased eyes. I agree with you on Nathan he needs a lot more consistency and he also needs to up his work rate a bit, he seems a bit lazy to me. If he does this, he looks like he will be a good first team player for you and should hopefully push Oliynyk out the side. I have been really disappointed with Izzy Brown I was expected a lot more, but he just hasn't looked up to scratch and is a mile behind Rashica. I don't see him pushing for a first team spot at the moment, hopefully he improves but at the moment he's looking a step down from Solanke or Nathan and his competition at RW Rashica and Ibarra also look much better. I didn't know to much about Pantic but he looked lively the one opportunity I got to see him for Vitesse so hopefully he can develop to a point where he deserves a first team place, however Qazaishvili isn't going to be dropped easily and is a very good player so I don't think that is likely either, luckily at 19 there is plenty of time too develop. I can see all of Solanke, Brown, Nathan (as much for work permit reasons) and Pantic staying with you next season, as it seems a good level for them and a good environment. Solanke might improve to the point where he's pushing for the next level up but he isn't there yet. So you should hopefully get to see most of them next season, and hopefully you see them develop as players, all of them are still teenagers so there is hopefully a lot more and a lot better to come. Baker on the other hand has thoroughly impressed me and has been our best loanee by far, and from the games I've seen he has been one of Vitesse's better performers, but seeing as the From Arnhem with Love post says he has been inconsistent I have probably only seen the games he has played well. So I'm not sure whats best for his future as to me he looks ready for a step up and looks like the kind of player that will play well at whatever level he is playing at without being outstanding. Therefore I'd like to see how he did with a premier league loan and I think if he had come through at a club like Southampton he would already be with the first team squad not unlike what James Ward-Prowse has achieved so I don't think he'd be out of his depth. However another season playing top flight football at Vitesse (who hopefully will have Eurpean football aswell) where he will get plenty of game time should not be overlooked and has been proving to be a good environment for his development. Hmm I agree with you. We'll keep writing about the Chelsea loanees in the Eredivisie. Our newest article is about Dominic Solanke: http://fromarnhemwithlove.com/2015/11/07/blues-in-the-eredivisie-part-2-dominic-solanke/
November 15, 201510 yr "For someone like that to say it about me, it made me feel proud and gave me a bit of belief too. That's what comes with this game, a bit of pressure is what's expected." "But I just need to carry on learning and working hard to try and prove to people that one day I can do it." Hes referring to Jose saying its his fault if Baker, Solanke and RLC dont become England internationals.
February 26, 201610 yr Scored a cracking long shot winner last week for vitesse! Out of all the loanees currently at Vitesse, I'd say he has the biggest chance of making it to our first team next season. Edited February 26, 201610 yr by JJP
March 6, 201610 yr He's always been a good player. I think he needs quality around him though as vitesse is almost useless for his development tbh.
March 6, 201610 yr I don't watch a lot of Eredivisie but he couldn't even get into their starting line up for a while. I like him as a player but he needs to man up and get involved more from what I've seen.
March 15, 201610 yr Don't see how he could be much worse than Oscar, get him back and let him have a run next season.
