A striker is still looking miles off but after seeing how quick we signed Fabregas or United signing Lukaku it could be done.

i know a guy who knows a football agent with close ties to real madrid. apparently morata is on tour with real madrid for pre-season after agreement with chelsea for him to do so, but when he returns negotiations will continue and morata should be signed before start of the season. :happy0034:

    The comparison to Shearer was a subtle nod to Belotti - for me there are similarities in their hold up play and his 'poached goals' inside the box are reminiscent of Shearer. What I don't see however are those consistent 20/25 yard piledrivers that Shearer used to bang in for fun, and I don't think (unlike Morata) his link up play inside the box is perhaps best suited to get the best out of Willian/Hazard.

    I can. Letting Courtois go so that we can sign Morata would be stupid. Then we'd have to go looking for a top keeper and there aren't many of those *available* at the moment.

    Makes no sense. Why not buy him and get him training with his teamates ASAP. He cud get ijured while on tour.

    He could get injured getting out of bed or getting on the plane to London. There's no rush. Yet.

    true story. Which is more of the reason Real would like to get the trade done ASAP if it was a real story. I beleive the Moratta story is made up by the media the main question is who are the strikers we are targetting because this seems like some 007 sh*t. 

    Morata aint coming to CFC, he's obviously turned down Man U (don't believe Lukaku was Jose's 1st choice & Morata deal was a 'smokescreen' to beat us to the Lukaku signing, reckon Morata/ RM said 'No' and then Woodward hatched up the Shrek part exchange deal with Koeman), he's currently on pre-season tour in US with RM an eminently bigger club than ours, reckon he will stay with them & fight for a place with them.

    Guess Aubameyang it is, I'll make a statement of controversy, I'd rather have Sandro and Danilo and go into the season with Costa till Jan and Bats upfront with hazard playing up top if he isn't cutting it than go in with a new striker and the same wing backs, especially victor, I actually think alonso was brilliant but vs Sandro and CL if honestly take that over a striker if forced to choose.

    I don't think that's feasible anymore. There is no way back for him.

    In any case, I don't think we'll get Morata either. Auba or Belotti should do. Anything besides that is panic buy.
