Jose Mourinho thread

Featured Replies

For me they have got in the right players and have the best manager who knows the league inside out. We know when Jose comes into a club the players literally run through walls for him...guys like Zlatan, Pogba, Rooney and co with that mindset will be too much for the rest IMO.

City have signed really good, young players who will no doubt go on to make them a force but in a year or two's time.

Short term I see this as United title.

You may be right - I hope you're wrong!

Sure, they have a good squad but I won't worry too much about Rooney, who IMO is a spent force regardless of the manager or a 35 year old Zlatan.

Both will no doubt score some goals but I would be worrying a lot more if they had say a Suarez or a Griezmann.

I'd love a close fought title with 3 or 4 sides including us obviously.

Zlatan was on fire last season albeit in France so I think he has a good season in him and will score important goals. He's a stop gap but could be a very important one.

The only thing Jose Mourinho deserves is to have flecks of human excrement flung in his face.

The man is a dirty, filthy c*nt who acted on self interest alone and completely screwed our club over. One day people will wake up and realise this.

He's a feral animal who sh*ts absolutely anywhere and on anything. Over time, you start to recognise the smell. You would think that it would be insufferable and intolerable to all. But some mistake the stench for his charm. And because so much sh*t comes out the man, they spend so much time breathing it in that they become heady and intoxicated by it. And they want more and more.

For others though, it just smells like sh*t. And it stinks to high heaven.

He's one of those nasty, repugnant people who don't wash their hands after using the toilet. And then he comes back and touches your possessions, with his skanky, piss-stained hands.

If Manchester United had any sense, they'd chop off his penis at base before his urine seeps into their club.

However, I do think he was put in a difficult position regarding the shirt signing and given this 'reactive' social media age we live in, I think he did the right thing by his current club.

Holy sh*t, this is amazing

Still love Jose and always will. 50 years no league title. He made my dreams come true. I am loyal. Will never diss him or revise history to fit a new agenda.

Between him and Pep for the title I feel. Jose has got from the Glaziers what he never had from Roman last season, the players he wants to make a quality team. You cant still stand still in this league.

But Jose has gone and we have Conte. I am on the fence. Is he is the new Messiah or the Italian Martin O'Neil?

We are about to find out.

The Zlatan strike seemed like a genuine shot, but the rest two seemed like gift wrapped goals.

Agreed. But don't see Zlatan as a 20 goal scorer in the PL. That said, Jose is going go walk the league. So pissed off

I dunno dude - The League is not easy as it was in years past. And while Mourinho has to be the favorite given his history and how much United have spent, I don't think it will be that easy considering how so many new teams are there and stronger.

All subjective now but given Jose is a serial winner, spent the most in the league, is a veteran in the PL and competing with managers new to the league, i definitely think he will walk it.

That said, I hope he burns because I detest United.

Utd, top of the table at the end of the week. What did you all think about United's style under Mourinho ?

Think, He will deliver the league title to UTD this year.

"Is this a library?"

Manchester United v Southampton (Fri, 20:00 BST)

Visiting fans at Old Trafford like to poke fun at a perceived lack of atmosphere by chanting "Is this a library?" or "It's just like being in church."

New Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has attempted to rectify that by calling on the club's supporters to make some noise ahead of his first home game in charge, against Southampton tomorrow (20:00 BST).

"If a couple of thousand away can be more noisy than 70,000 at home then we are in trouble," he said in today's media briefing.

The problem is, in games such as tomorrow's, they usually are.

Don't want be a pain in the arse, but is there any reason this man has a special thread still going? Should this not be moved the the 'following our nearest rivals' section?  I don't see any other threads for ex managers...maybe I missed them? What the f**k did he actually do for us last season apart from screwing everyone around and costing the club millions is a law suit. OK, so he will go down in the clubs history, but so will the others who won trophies.   He's gone...get over it already.  And is anyone else fed up with the Jose' love fest Man U....it's almost sickening the way he is sucking up to that club...OR maybe its just sour grapes on my part.

However, Mourinho feels the switch to Old Trafford is his biggest move yet as he prepares for his first competitive home match in charge when Southampton visit in the Premier League on Friday.

"I have been in some of the biggest clubs in the world," the 53-year-old told Sky Sports.

"This is like the top of my career, but it comes in the early stage of my career because as a manager I am really young, and I think I have the best years of my career to come up.

Mourinho claims to have always enjoyed a positive bond with United supporters – even when in charge of opposing clubs – but looks forward to having them fully on his side in his new role.

He continued: "I've managed many, many times against Manchester United. I've enjoyed it. Even as an opponent I could create a good relationship with the fans, I never had problems, and I have not always behaved the best way.

Cause there's friday night PL games from now on, of course

16th September we play liverpool on a friday night

That sucks, that game should never be on a Friday night, that is a Sunday 16:00 game.

Money, money, money, money.....and money.

Sucks doesn't it ? There won't be a point in 3:00pm Saturday football with the way things are going.
