I missed this scene yesterday, but this us shamefull from Michy. I agree: sell him in January.

I have defended him on here, but there was no doubt that he was really poor yesterday, like most of the team. I don't agree with people saying he is a sh*t player, i just don't think he suits our style of football and formation. This is why you sign the players the manager needs for his system rather than going out and signing a player just because they scored goals somewhere else. You can be a regular 20 goals a season striker, but that means nothing if you join a team that doesn't suit your game.

We are a team that needs that imposing player up top, the type of striker that can hold on to the ball and bring the other attackers into the game, that isn't in Batshuayi's game though. Batshuayi would probably be more of a success at a team like Liverpool because they play a way that suits his style of football.

I have defended Michy a lot on here, but I must admit that single performance does make me wonder if he has a future here under Conte. Not because of his ability, I actually think he's a very good talent, but he's so bad at holding the ball up.

I thought it's an area he could possibly improve on but I'm not sure, I know it's only one game but he looks very far behind in that department, really struggled.

+1

His hold up play is worse than what Lukaku's was when he was 19.

First of all, our issue with him, the issue of hypocricy, as some "defender" said, was the behavior, not the quality of the player. When we all agreed that behavior is bad, then we started discussing his qualifies and whether or not he has shown us something except good positioning and good finishing. And I am keep waiting for someone to tell me something positive in his game out of these 2 characteristics without acussing us in stupidity or hypocricy. Just stop telling this crab thing (he is good obviously but doesnt suit). Tell me what he is so good at and why we didnt still  see it

Absolutely awful.. What behaviour he show there... I understand that he is upset against Conte, but not handshake with Pedro...

Maybe he was upset with himself.

no he wasn't. I'll make a giff later of his reaction, when he finds out that he's been subbed.

Missed the moment with Pedro, he had a bad game it is clear no need to disrespect your team mates. Morata is obviously miles ahead of Michy, i like Michy he is talented but he needs to clear his head actions like those are not welcome from me and i think especially Conte. If he keeps it up Conte will let him go in January and we will buy a new striker.

Couldn't think of a better explanation than this one.

The pundits were saying he also does not run into space to give the attacking midfielders options (Wright and Lineker) so for me he needs to go, loan or sell.

One move I saw in pre-season was with Chalobah, Bakayoko and Bats and it looked superb as they all moved together yet he needs to adjust to the team he plays for.

Yeah, let's change our whole system to accomodate a striker who can't hold up the ball or run with it, or dribble, pass or head the ball or even shoot it properly unless he's 10 feet from goal.

I dont know if u r just drunk with rage and not patient enough to bother to read and understand my post so let me break it down in points

1. Michy is not the same striker as Moratta.

2. The system we play in helps Moratta thrive.

3. It does not help Michy.

4. If you play Michy in that system and expect the same result it wont happen and ... It did not happen.

I am not advocating changing the formation although in all fairness, last year when we did change formations, it did work out good for us. Plus not all of Chelsea's titles were won on the same formation. Also, no amount of formations can do good when u have a depleted squad.

He's the type of player, who if you saw his stats whilst playing for an opposing team, would have a debate on here as to why we should be buying him. Only in the flesh do you see his limitations. His lack of movement not only fails to create himself space, it also hampers the decisive runs by Hazard who relies on the half hard to create his magic. As a third striker, he would be perfect coming into a game chasing a goal, similar to Chicarito. As a starter/2nd striker though he fails to do enough upfront to the detriment of the team on the whole.

This is very true. A lot of people have advocated for a Chicharito type player and many wanted Chelsea to sign him when he was in Germany. He can't lead a line but he's the perfect impact sub to grab a late goal.

Despite his goal last night I thought it was a poor performance from Michy.

He just doesn't seem to grasp a game by the scruff of the neck, step up and dominate when we play lesser opposition. His touch lets him down a lot, turns into blind alleys and makes poor passes/choices in the final third a lot.

His goal came when we were already 4 up, home and dry.

For a £33m player I would expect a lot more from him personally.

This is what I said about Michy after the game against Carrier Bag.

To be honest take out the parts about getting a goal and it rings true about his performance against Palace too.

I think we're starting to see exactly why Conte played him so little last season and I would be hugely surprised if he's here another season.

Tammy Abraham is already looking a much more accomplished and intelligent Premier League striker despite being so young... Something for Conte/the board to think about come January.

I'm patient enough to realize that Michy Batshuayi, at least at this point of his career, lacks technical ability and intelligence to play at a top level club.

Also, Morata doesn't have much experience playing in that system. He's not used to a lone striker role, but he's working hard to adapt.

Why not bring back Tammy Abraham in January if possible due to contracts and stuff like that? I know that he is getting playing time at Swansea and that is what he needs, but we are struggling to find a suitable CF and he would be getting time with the different competitions we are involved in.

I thought he would kick on this year, but he looks to have regressed. I don't think he will get the game time he neds here to improve to a level we would require.

In all honesty, I hope we sign a forward that is a little different to morata, someone who links up well, and is more of a creative type.

I think abraham can be the back to goal target man, and would be a good back up for morata, another similar type player would push abraham down the pecking order.

Not sure who though, but someone like firmino would be ideal.
