Salah along with Caudrado are two of the worst players of the Abramovic era and in my twenty odd years of watching Chelsea.

Salah was sh*t. We should have never signed him and I have zero regrets about selling him. He wouldn’t improve us even now and Liverpool are no better with him either.

Yeah, Salah found his level at Roma and Liverpool. No English team with great ambition will sign him!

Out of interest and without trying to start an argument, do you lot still stand by those comments regarding Salah? Because when you made these posts, he was on fire and is still on fire and top scorer in league and is looking an absolute top player. Him doing well though, does not anger me as much as KDB doing well as KDB is a rare talent.

I think at the moment Salah looks like an upgrade on both Willian & Pedro. Although he would be worse in our system, he thrives in that Liverpool system because of his scary pace. Still for a player that fast his end product is really good, could you imagine having him on the counter attacks and able to rotate with Pedro/Hazard.

Top scorer in the league, you can't say he's a bad player.

EDIT: Also I agree about KDB, selling him was a ridiculous decision and not even in hindsight, he always had potential, had a good season out on loan at Bremen and still overlooked. Imagine having KDB next to Kante? Ughhh!

Yes I stand by my comments.

He was an awful signing for us and should never have come to Chelsea. He was nowhere near the standard of player we needed and was basically signed as a stop gap to allow Mata to move to United. We should have given chances to one of our own youth attacking players instead or signed someone of a better quality and with more experience.

I don't think he'd get into our team, even now. He's in a purple patch of form right now but I would be very surprised if he maintained that for much longer.

Let's hope he's back to the Salah you describe come Saturday!

It's a tough call as I am a huge advocate of bringing some of the youth players players through - at least having them on the bench to give a try, so on that basis we shouldn't be signing the likes of Salah (and before that Marin and Oscar).

That said, it's hard to argue he wouldn't be a handy option to have right now - would certainly take him ahead of Willian.

So would I and I highly rate Willian, but this season the guy is driving me insane.

thought he looked really eager and motivated when he came on, and actually linked up well for the short time we saw of him. would have been great if he scored that shot that was a whisker wide of the far post.

Agreed, he looked like he'd been learning from Morata with some of his first touches laying it off to other players, and he chased the ball around the whole time he was on, which sometimes he had failed to do even when substituted on for only a short time.

He doesn't fit because he never gets more than 10 minutes.  I agree the writing is on the wall, but it can hardly be down to poor form.  He's done well to score the goals he's had given the time he's been on the pitch.  When you're the only other striker in the team and the main striker is out and you still can't get a start you know you're not in the manager's plans.

Honestly don't think michy has a future here unfortunately. Such a likeable lad but he doesn't seem to fit when I do see him play.

I think Antonio will be in the market in Jan for another striker

Think Conte might be shooting himself in the foot with this one. I feel the club has resisted all efforts by him to shift him out their £30m+ signing and with good reason. Look around Europe and bar City, you are hardly ever going to find 2/3 forwards in one team who are of the desired level.

Lukaku & Zlatan only works because the latter is on huge wages and is on a short term deal. The impact on Lukaku is such that he has withdrawn into his shell ever since Zlatan has been fit, and he is the one that gets shifted to the flanks. Aguero is a club legend and Jesus is his apprentice. They are probably the only duo that can work in tandem, and even Pep has made his reasons public for not playing both together. Arsenal have Lacazette & Giroud, Liverpool have Sturridge and Solanke, Tottenham have Kane and Llorente this season, Bayern don’t have a backup to Lewandowski and are eyeing a 29yr old forward, Madrid have a youth team player as backup to Benzema. The reality is your main forward will have the bulk of the mins, bar injury and when he is getting rested. So your backup gets 15mins per game if he is lucky. That is why Spurs keep getting a new forward every season, because whoever they bring in flops either due to a lack of playing time or the lingering shadow of Kane. Soldado, Jansen and now Llorente have looked crap and the former 2 have essentially been given out for free and written off as a loss.

Who is Conte thinking of bringing in come next month? We have been linked with Benteke and Rondon, are they really any upgrade if they aren’t firing for their present clubs? Assuming we manage to lure them in, how will they fare as bench players if they are not firing as a starting 11? Is the club just going to write off Bats as a loss because as long as Conte is here, he has no future? And what happens to the backup forward who might not be fancied by the next manager if come summer Conte decides to leave?  Add to that, We will get ripped off because everyone knows we are desperate.

I think he could thrive under a new manager and new system. If Conte is going to leave like all the papers make out then i'd keep Batshuayi as he's a player that will always score goals and could do well under a new coach. If Conte is staying then i see no future for Bats, hopefully a lower premier league team will pay £20m+ for him.

he is effectively 3rd choice striker now.

He can't really complain, a front 3 of hazard pedro and Willian have comfortably won every game they have been used for I think.

Bats is a good finisher, but I think we need another forward who can challenge for one of the wide spots aswell.

Said a lot that within two minutes of being on the pitch he was flagged for being about 8 yards offside.

I think that alone made Antonio justified. He was constantly offside and not making the movements we had prior to him coming on.

I do believe if Batman was at a club where he had the backing of the manager and his confidence was high he would score a lot of goals. Problem is his first season was a disaster where Conte didn’t rate him, 2 mins here or there at the end of games and when Costa was out he wouldn’t play. The same has happened this year.

Conte doesn’t rate Batman and people have got to remember how low his confidence must be. His a young man and his career is literally going down the pan while Conte is still at Chelsea. Everytime he gets a few minutes he is probably so desperate to do something.

Best thing for him now would be to go on loan and get his confidence up.

His link up play is noticably better now. A few months ago it bounced off him every time he went near it, Lukaku-style, now his first touch nearly always finds a teammate and he's looking to lay it off and spin into space. He's defintely been learning from Morata, and his finishing is generally very clincal when he gets a chance in the box, so I really think he deserves another good chance to prove himself.

He would absolutely flourish at another club, whether that was on loan or if we sold him.  It's almost a bit like the Lukaku situation in which he wasn't getting the game time he wanted so he left, and we all know how that turned out.  Problem is, if we do sell him/send him out on loan then who can we realistically bring in to replace him?  Morata is going to play more games than now, and we have Hazard who runs through there as well.

I'd love for him to stay and prove his worth, but sadly I'm not in charge of the team and unless something drastic happens I can't see Conte giving him the opportunities he needs.

If we ditch him and bring him someone sh*t like Benteke I'm going to revolt.

If we take Benteke it's the real evidence that the board is incompetent
