I can't see Michy as much more than a sub. No doubt he can score some good goals yet I only see him as a second striker not like Morata who can lead the line.

Morata is better than Batman but it's been clear from day 1 Conte doesnt trust him, hardly playing him last year and preferring Hazard jumping for pointless balls in the air as your main forward proves that.

Was it Palace he got taken off early doors must do the young man's confidence a world of good.

Seems to do well as an impact sub. Rather  than as a starter.

Had a great game and did well in areas where he has been sorely lacking.  Let's hope it's not a one off but rather an indication of progression.  Might also have been timely too, considering how Morata played this game (seemed a little complacent).

7 goals in 10 games for him this season. Certainly not a bad backup striker. 

When Michy come in, it's simply a real finisher, bit like Chicharito with Ferguson

Quite astonishing really, but also hardly surprising.  

We can all agree that he can't lead the line.  But seeing some folk lament our lack of options at striker to then claim that he shouldn't be played, or sold in January, was unreal.

Michy can score, what more do we expect in a second striker?  I didn't like that he didn't shake Pedro's hand when he was subbed off, but at least it shows he has passion and cares about his chances 

Didn't get a lot of service last night, mostly due to poor showings from Musonda and Willian but was generally better than recent starts. 

Still a long way behind Morata for a starting place though. 

He showed his technical ability yesterday with the ball at his feet.  He also looked a bit stronger with hsi back to goal and hold up play than he has in previous stints leading the line.  I think slowly he is improving in critical areas.  For now though, still an impact sub that depending on whether or not we bring in quality at the position, may get loaned out next year.

Hopefully the injuries this season are a wake up call to the board. We have been very lucky in the past getting by with small squads, but our luck has run out now.

Even when it's just training before friendly matches players getting injured... Why play Internationals during the season!

Not.

Apparently out for the next 5 games. Martinez and the rest of the Belgium staff seem especially sh*t at managing and preventing injury to their players on international duty.
