So next year when Hazard, Costa, Fabregas, Cahill, Ivanovic, and Courtois are all gone, what do we do?  Do we promote from within or try and buy bargain players?  We will lose our top players because two years of no CL football is essentially the death mark.

Our glory days are over ... we need to rebuild completely from the ground and up. I still think Luiz is a massive issue ... he makes everyone nervous. Of Hazard not tracking back either for the second goal.

 

Until the club embraces a proper rebuild of the squad and the whole structure of the club, we'll become utterly irrelevant at the top of English football food chain.

The signs were ominous from last season, but for whatever reason the club felt that last season was an aberration rather than a sign of it being the norm. 

We've dodged a bullet for years by sacking managers but there's no hiding from it now.

Get rid of Conte and nothing will change so we have to stick with him if the club is sensible and let him work out what's going wrong if he doesn't know already.

Conte realised the defence was an issue but he didn't get any ideal signings he wanted for the defence.

David Luiz was a rushed signing to appease the supporter base and at best an x-factor player rather than a consistent and reliable player.

Cahill is just about cooked!

We play passive defense, paying more attention to 4-1-4 rather than harassing midfield and not allowing Arsenal to move the ball as they wish.

I think players are simply following Conte's instructions. The game plan is easy to read, very predictable and easy for Arsenal to exploit it.

There is only one person to change it, but it is not going to happen, unfortunately.

Should have never fired Jose. Jose won the championship and as soon as he has a few problems the following season Abramovich fires him? WTF does he expect, for Jose to be champion every year? The fans were behind Jose and it was obviously the team, not the coach, at fault. That season was lost so instead of firing the trainer they should have fired half of the squad and used that season to rebuild and be strong the following season. Instead he did nothing about the problem (bad players), fired perhaps the best coach in the world, juggled trainers, got nothing accomplished that season, and now he's no match for any of the top 4/5 and losing to some of the mediocre teams, too.

Was Conte high when he told Matic to get forward? He's sh*te at it.

Losing Cahill, Ivanovic and Courtois is no issue. Meanwhile what should be done is to the take the best of the loanees and incorporate them:

Nathan Ake

Tammy Abraham

Kenneth Omeruo

Baba Rahman

Charly Musonda

Mario Pasalic

Bertrand Traore

 

Not all will make the cut, but some of the players obviously won't do wore than what we have.

Look who's gone hiding again......Eden Hazard. When things get tough, this guy doesn't show up at all. The only time he did was against Tottenham last season. He's only good when things are going well.
