Oh, and I'm pretty sure Fernandinho got away for like 4 bookable offences in the game...but then, we might have got a touch lucky a few times too. Referee didn't want to brandish cards, but had to in the end.

I was pretty nervous with the Alonso trip on Navas, fortunately like everyone else on their team he hurled himself onto the floor and ruined any chance he had of winning the pen.

Overall ref did a pretty good job, let the players get on with it.

That second goal was out of this world, the length of the pitch in the net quicker than Fernandinho can push a Frenchman of the pitch.

Watching some highlights, it's really interesting how much better our 1 on 1's were converted compared to City's chances. Ours were more clear cut in that there was nothing around...but Courtois was big, and stood up well. Bravo offered no solution.

I think Tibo was one of our best players today.

And then they say Diego Costa is a dirty player....

Second suspension of the season on the way for Aguero. Thugs.

Edited by Scott Harris

Fully expect the media to demonize Aguero after that tackle and campaign for a lengthy ban as they would Diego. Oh no wait I don't. Second awful potentially career-impacting tackle he's commited against Luiz, borne out of the frustration of citeh not having everything their own way in a match for once. What an absolute knob that man is.

But what a game! De Bruyne missing a two yard sitter proving to be the catalyst for one of the most clinical 30 odd minutes of counter-attacking football I've ever seen us play. Loving the work Conte is doing, love the current team and love this club!! Roll on Saturday night!!!!

Another performance where we had to come from behind and dig deep, and we did! This was the biggest challenge we could face; favourites for the league, at home, and we showed a grit and determination that we haven't had for a while!

Oh, and also...

Today we had all the hallmarks of future champions. Resilient when needed to keep us in the match and clinical to take control. Massive win, Aguero for all his skill has a nasty streak that was exposed today, I thought the rake down Pedro's Achilles was deliberate too.

This game had so many elements to it. We could have been 2-3 down, but it didn't happen that way.

Very very emotional win and I hope the red cards will put City out of contention for this season.

This has to be the game of the season for us at least. 8 and growing stronger by the day!

Pep is bald and overrated

He's a fraud and it's becoming evident now.

As I said earlier, I have higher regard for the likes of Conte, Simeone and Klopp who haven't had the best squads in their disposal but have managed to produce maximum output from them. Guardiola had the easy task of managing arguably the two best sides in the world which was always going to produce success to some extent.

WHAT A GAME !!! I am on 3 hours of sleep but as the game got over i feel like a man high on caffeine!!! My thoughts.

- City - respect to them for the way they played. It was fun to watch. On another day those 2 KDB goals would have gone in.

- Chelsea - If anyone says it was luck that we won then *Expletive you*. We carved our chances, took them and finished it. Hats off to the players.

- Conte - What a surprise bringing in FAbergas into the lineup. Anyone who thought Fab was done and dusted in the Conte system (I am looking at you piss poor taboids), hope that showed you. Conte is  showing to be a genius in terms of getting players to adopt his way and play in them. I really hope Conte is here to stay for the long haul.

- Aguero RED - absolutely deserved RED for a horror tackle, but i understand the sportsman in him acting all feisty. This was a very dangerous tackle and could have easily put of Luiz for a long time. I hope his ban period is extended (As a side note, for all the sh*t that Costa gets from 'pundits', I dont think he has ever done anything this dangerous, So can we have some perspective please dear FA ?)

- Fernandinho RED - while i understand Agueros frustrations that led to the horror tackle, I dont get this guy at all. Cesc did not react at all ( Kudos Cesc ). But what the heck was this guy thinking. I hope he gets a lengthy ban as well.
