That was a very enjoyable game of football, exactly what you want to see on Boxing Day. Going forward i thought we were brilliant to watch, the counter attacking from us at times is breath taking. When we play with this kind of pace, Pedro is at his best and he was our best player today. Pedro, Hazard and Willian on the counter were too much to deal with.

We weren't so great defending from midfield but i expected that to be an issue with no Kante and Bournemouth playing the way they do. The defence took on the challenge though and got us another clean sheet which was great to see.

Another clean sheet, another 3 points and a good performance. Let's keep it going Chelsea.

If footy matches were 80 minutes long, FC Woolwich Rainbow Bottlers would be playing non league.

 

 I'm beginning to think the players and the manager actually know what they are doing despite the extreme footballing wisdom of the Greek chorus and the fair weather friends ensemble. KTBFFH.

Never really looked threatened, apart from a few flashes from Wilshere. Good win and good way to end the year. Feel bad for Batman of course, 1 second is just a pisstake.

Improvement from willian on the 2nd half.. I think overall the whole team did well but hazard, pedro, azpi were the most stand out..

Good entertaining match. Pedro was really good today( pity he got the stupid booking last match as he will be a miss on this form) and the front three were very fluid. Bournemouth added to the spectacle but ultimatly didnt have enough to hurt us.

Dippers play CIty this weekend, hopefully we beat stoke and extend that gap, problem is week after the spuds would swap their mums not to let us get the 14 on the trot record...

That was our most convincing performance since at least Man City IMO, if not since Everton. Bournemouth got some joy through the midfield, but Pedro was truly excellent and we upped the pace this time around. 

Forgot to mention thibaut courtouis, another crucial save from him, not so much of a defining one but quite an important 1 nevertheless.. credit due where it dues..

Guys all out rivals played or are playing sides they were or are always going to beat. 

This game day was about maintaining what we had.

Agree with Conte leaving Michy on the bench. With Kante missing we needed experienced players around the pitch. His time will come. Comfortable win although not as one sided as the scoreline suggests.

Imagine how they feel though...whenever they win,all they do is maintain the sizeable gap they trail behind us...must be soul destroying...

 

Big for us to win without two key players today...don't agree with conte's treatment of Batshuayi, but he keeps winning games so bats can't really argue too much...just want to round the year off nicely with win over stoke...sp*rs will be well fired up on January 4 so won't be surprised if we drop points there...it hasn't been three point Lane for some time now
