If United get him because we aren't willing to meet his pricetag I can see Conte walking. He left Juve for this very reason and if he sees it ain't much different here why would he stay?

looks like PSG may be the more likely destination for him. however, Ghoulam fancies a move to the PL. If we're to take notice of this anyway.

They badly need a LB so would make sense. 

Our own fault, we seem incapable of bringing in genuine world class players now.

Going for him in January would be worth more than just signing a great player, it would signal intent to Conte that we're serious about competing and backing him. I know he'd be unable to play CL but beating rivals to him would be smart and we'd have a more rested Alonso to use for those matches

Kwado Asamoah starting before him, something went wrong there. Would be happy to have him and make him back to his form.

In anticipation of Conte walking maybe. Which is why it would be great to see them back him with Sandro in January.

Not a chance in hell he will move in January mate, sorry but juve is not a second tier club that sells its key players during the winter window while competing to win all competitions even for a ridiculous offer (100+).Sandro has had an awful start of the season and allegri has put some pressure on him like on Dybala, but both are key players and need to get back on form if we want to have any chance to compete in CL.

Next summer it will be another story if Sandro and Dybala decide to go, but that will be handled in spring when we will have the time to find alternatives

I tend to agree with the poster above.  People pay too much attention to the "rumors" that European journos write up.  It's all an attention grab.  Everyone is "interested" in Sandro so they look to English clubs that have a need for a lb and throw man united out there.  Of course Man united want him, so they will make up a number to go along with it and cite "sources."  

To be honest it's all a load of hogwash as far as I'm concerned.  There are very few people in the know, and we know them they are the usual twitter folk.  Thing you read in Metro and the Sun are just rubbish wastes of time usually.  Juve would be silly to sell in the Winter window, and they are a big club you just don't see marquee players leaving in January from big clubs in league title races and European cups.  And juve is well in a title race.  

Sandro in the Summer is most likely.  Until then we may try and find replacements but I seriously doubt they will be big name players.  I hope for that big signing this window but more than likely we are looking at maybe 1-2 reinforcements.  

Still think Shaw or Guerrero are the best two options for the price.
Sandro is bonkers money - with PSG and Manure involved that price is likely to go even further into the stratosphere.

 

If Luiz does go I think we could afford Sandro and what a statement that sends to the rest of the league.  There is a period in the UCL after xmas  where we face Barca and the two Manx cub very close together. I would prefer to do that with someone like Sandro (not for Barca obviously).

Zero bedding in time?

Maybe Luiz as a bait to get this deal done? I'm sure he's in huge demand, Luke Shaw probably played his last United game after that performance, and Jose won't wait for a player to improve in 12-18 months. Ideally, United get Rose, we get Sandro, Shaw to Spurs, almost everyone wins.

I said at the time, you might as well pay the asking price, because in another window or two, what seems an extortionate fee will seem a bargain, and so it comes to pass.

 

Those criticising Liverpool for paying £75m for Van Dijk, need to understand a few things. Firstly, he's a top defender. Secondly, he was always their first choice target. Thirdly, he walks straight into their team and improves it. Fourthly, we paid about 60 odd million pounds for Rudiger and Zappacosta combined, and I'd rather just have one top defender thank you very much. Fifthly, Liverpool were competing with City, so they had to pay top dollar. Sixthly, £75m will be the going rate for any old sh*t defender in a year's time.

 

Edit: I personally think Liverpool have been absolutely brilliant in the way they've gone about this. They wanted him. They got him. They did whatever they had to do. I personally think we could learn something from their approach, and I dare say so does the manager.

6 months too late after a summer trying so hard the were threatened to be reported to the FA before paying a world record fee. 

No offence but this is not a real shining example of a transfer.
