That was as stressful as a bleedin semi or a final , played sub par but done the business, 8 games to go hope none are as gut wrenching as that

Well chuffed now, can't see a bottle job after doing the double on Pepsi & his rich kids

I think zouma could have done better on their goal. He just jogged back slowly instead of showing more urgency. I also don't see him improving his ball playing, he just looks so awkward. Pedro also made some misplaced passes and was poor in his decision making. Kante didn't impose himself how we would like. A few playerd definitely didn't turn up tonight, but overall it was a decent performance from us. Hazard really is a gem for us and a genuine game changer; so glad we have him.

any idea why Zouma was subbed ? I liked our formation and play in the first half. The introduction of Matic, removal of Zouma and the shifting of Fabergas's position in the second half made our formation weaker based on what i observed.

zouma was a liability aganst citsys press

Pep doesn't like it up him whatsoever does he :laugh2:. He's a bad loser.

What's the d**khead said now.

Nice result - thought the tactics were spot on.

Zouma - nice lad but way too ponderous for a back 3.  To be fair though he does need a lot more game time.

Playing out from the back - yes, I get the drift as to why we do it but I swear on my Lovely Wife's life I was banging on about the dangers of it for the 10 minutes prior to Tibo's mistake

Surely the message is dead simple: do it when safe to do so.  If not then hoof the bloody ball down the pitch.

Silva should get a retrospective ban for that blatant face holding crap - fine player but that was pathetic.

Slippy looked gutted in the BT studio - bless.

Pep does come across arrogant and patronising at times, especially when dealing with post match interviews.

Aside from his nonsensical rants early in the season he's growing on me tbh, personally I find Klopp and Mourinho far more irksome.

Well, it turns out the sky ISN'T falling in.   Though to read this thread you wouldn't know.

I'm surprised City didn't play De Bruyne - surely he'd have had something to prove against the team that let him go because he wasn't good enough for the big occasions?

Well with that we have knocked city out of the race, now is just us and Spurs. Should just be us though. For one we should not have lost to a garbage team like crystal palace and for another what on earth were Swansea doing. We should be 12 clear of them not 7. Oh well do things the hard way we shall.

Just back from the game. Buzzing. Huge three points! After a lot of nervy moments (thanks Tibo), we got the result.

Got to see two home matches this trip, shock loss Saturday and this big win. Enjoyed speaking with several Chels supporters throughout.

Awesome trip. Great to see one at the Bridge under the lights.

18 more points lads! Bring home the title.

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

The decision to step out of a set defensive position and commit involves increased risk. Therefore, it either has to be a rational, logical decision where the odds are greatly in your favour of succeding, or you have to do it where you are in a situation where there is no other logical option than to gamble and commit. None of these applied to the situations Luiz gambled on in the first half. It was poor decision making, simple as.

Second half he was much better, thankfully. Cahill was awesome defensively all night long.

Sure, maybe they were poor decisions. That wasn't what we were talking about. The commentators questioned the TACTICAL correctness of the move and I don't see any thing wrong tactically with the middle of the three having the responsibility to come forward.
