I think that our defense  (Tibo, Rudi, Christensen, Cahill) gets clean papers of today's performance. But other fields were not that good. Kante is not playimng well given this new more attacking role. Baka made o lot of mistakes today. Cesc and Eden were guite invisiable today. Willian and Bats were a laugh today.

Sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up and say "sh*t, they were good" and accept you were beaten by a team at the top of their game.

Cahill had a good game today, as did Christensen and Rudiger, personally thought we missed Luiz' passing range today

Pass to who? We didn't have a striker for a large part of the game and we didn't have anyone making runs.

The areas where we need strenghtening are both wing backs and on top of that we need an other good striker. Bats has scored this season many goals but it is obvious that even Conte is not trusting him.

Today was the day we found out the squad isn't good enough to sustain challenges on all fronts. We looked leggy from the start and with it content to sit off them. Bats despite his goals return isn't seen as a player by Conte who can lead the line and with it the poor decision of bringing Willian on as Morata's replacement. Willian deserves a special mention today for how poor he has become when delivering a simple final ball, no longer good enough.

I don't think many on here have trouble with losing that game. City were the better side, it's that simple.

The frustration is in the way we lost, showed no heart or desire except for a short period after we went behind.

Ok, ok, bad result. Disappointing result. Last year, we took both games vs these guys. It happens. Tough turn around from Madrid Wednesday. Get it again late November with Wednesday in Baku, Azerbaijan and Saturday at Liverpool.

Felt the game was close to balanced at the point Morata went out injured. We were completely lost from that point forward. Shame we did not pick up Llorente at the end of the window. He would allow us to maintain the same over-the-top tactics as with Morata. Batshuayi does not offer the same opportunities. Did not feel Willian was the answer for Morata's replacement.

Couple of weeks off. Get everyone healthy. Play Batshuayi vs Palace.

Come on you Chelsea!!

This plus the absolute lash up of a substitution following Morata's untimely demise.

We have a terrific coach on-board but on (rare) occasions I am gobsmacked by his tactics.

4 points out of 12 at home. Disgraceful. No goals against a weak city defence and a poor arsenal? Very disappointing.  

Replacing an injured morata with Willian rather than Batman. Hilarious. One day conte makes amazing tactical choices. The next he takes our best player out of our back 3 and plays with no real striker. Reminds me of Claudio at his most mad. What a poor football day.

Yep, before Mane got sent off, Liverpool were showing that City can easily be got at, but we didn't play to our strengths and seemed to lack confidence in our own ability.

I hope you'll pop up and commend me for being a "proper Chelsea supporter" each time I praise Conte/player A/Marina/Emenalo as well. Because it seems like you and a few others only have an eye for comments that aren't positive. In the thread you referenced, I even gave Cahill credit for having a great game against Atletico, but I supposedly have an agenda against him. I'm not a kid. I don't have time to waste on silly agendas. I call things as I see them. There's no point sugar coating anything. You lot were in here saying the same things in the summer of 2015 and early on in 15/16 as well. As if those of us that pointed out problems were whingey, ungrateful brats.

Playing without a recognised striker after Morata went off was the downfall. We didn't have an outlet.

We lost against a very in form City side, alongside losing our main striker 35 minutes in. City were good but they'll pick up a few losses this season, you can't win them all.

Personally I wouldn't have started Cahill but it's done now, easy to say in hindsight.

Reckon we should go after Mario Gomez tbh. Conte clearly doesn't trust Michy. Gomez has everything Conte wanted in Llorente and he's actually a much better player.

probably told him he had a great game and was arguably our best defender. which he was. 

This should be our starting back 3 tbh. Wonder how long it'll take Conte to realise that.

News Flash we didn't lose because of Cahill, but yet here you are singling him out again as the problem.
