Not a brilliant game but enough. I think the choice for starting 11 was good today. The three in front Hazard Morata Pedro is far the best one for us.

We were comfortable all game but should have scored more. 

3 points though. That’s all that matters.

Never got out of 2nd gear thanks to Bournemouth not really putting up much of a fight, never pressed us....still a solid performance and a clean sheet.  Next week might be somewhat different.  

Dont usually disagree with you Womble but some of our play was very pretty.Different class.Azpi and Eden superb.....UP THE CHELS !

I don't know how we managed to keep a clean sheet after the second half but I'm happy.

A solid performance and much needed win, i'm sure we would all have taken that at the start of the day. Could and probably should have got more than 1 but i'll take this. Hazard was my man of the match today, he made our attack click with his movement and he got the winning goal. Azpilicueta was excellent too, he made probably one goal saving block and a great headed clearance early on. Rudiger was composed and moved the ball well, i don't see how he can be dropped in all honesty, he's done more than enough to keep his place.

We really should've won this more comfortably, made for a nervous last 10 mins. At least it's 3 points and back above these Arsenal twats.

good game overall... but desperately need to be more clinical upfront as we should have scored more !!! It could have been 3-0 for us!! but the most important thing is the win !! UTC!!

3 pts    but  they need to play  better, true test is  United/Liverpool in next couple of games.

Can't wait for the Moratrick against United. 

The first half was probably the best we've played so far this season if we'd taken our chances we could have been out of sight by half time.

I've watched every match this season live...except for Atletico...maybe the problem's me...

IMO Pedro-Morata-Hažard was working well today. Azpi was good for a  change which is good. I am glad that we got Drinkwater to have a difensive choice for the midfield when needed.

Probably just me H but I did feel quite nervy for most of the game...must be getting old...

I wouldn't be so harsh on the side, this was a solid performance against a good team. Even defensively, I thought Drinkwater was good when he came on. 

Good win today. Probably deserved to win that by 3 or 4 goals. The most comfortable we've looked since Atletico away. Hopefully we can put in a great performance against Roma next week.

I was a bit annoyed with Michy again when he came on. For someone playing all of 10 minutes, you'd think they'd chase everything and be energetic.

Will, I thought we played some lovely football today. Great link up play and we would have bagged a few on another day. It's real joy to watch a skillful CF like Morata link up with Has and Pedro.

I thought everyone was good today.

He was too eager to score as well, shooting at first chance regardless of the situation. I think coming on at 70-80 minutes every time makes you desperate

Ok overall we put in an improved performance. And we kept a clean sheet which is good.

hazard, rudiger and azbi were the stand outs for me. 

Cahill didn’t play and we kept a clean sheet just saying ;)

Our Spanish contingent have been quite average but overall solid performance by everyone else. What I like about Morata so far is that even if he hasn't scored, he still contribute something to the team. Pedro's willingness to offer himself and run into space is why I'd choose him over Willian any day.

Loved Azpi and Hazard today. Hazard and Morata clicking game by game is good to see, should've gotten 2 if not 3 assist today. Superb stuff.

Steadily impressed by Rudiger. Does almost everything right almost every game and still 24, hope he keeps it up.

Drinkwater being the water carrier is quite good though, I'm slowly becoming a fan of his. Keeps everything tidy even when surrounded by 3 men and created an attack from being pressured using a simple pass. Pity Willian didn't finish it off. Being held off by Serman(?) took a bit of a shine off his performance. Impressed with the little minutes he was given.

Negatives:

Fabregas was average if not below. Has been a passenger for most matches now and even his passing was sloppy.

Bats could do better, needs more work in his overall play.

Willian seems like he's on a decline. Could be mental or lack of motivation or something. Has been a shadow of himself. Sort yourself out man, you're still in your prime ffs.

Bakayoko can be effective but his brainfarts needs to be addressed by the coaching staff. His complacency nearly cost us.

Luiz needs to carefully time his charging runs better.

Finishing again has been poor. Morata, Fabregas, Pedro and Willian needs to do better.

TL;DR Solid performance and controlled the game well without exerting too much with Roma and Utd in the horizon. 7/10 game overall.

 

Also was good to see drinkwater come on. Although it was brief he added good cover defensively.
