Games like this I miss JT can't help but think even his influence in the dressing room would have really helped. Invaluable.

With how much money we have spent, it is some achievement to have so many players unable to play a simple pass.

 

If it stays like this I think we still have our fate in our own hands vis a vis finishing in the top 2 but we'd need Roma to balls up to be able to finish top.

okay might you might have a different definition, but i wouldn't say they dominate us in this particular game, even all of their goals were either from a freakish shot (1st & 3rd) or a gift from us (2nd, and 3rd to some extent). they definitely dominated us back in Stamford Bridge, but not it this particular match. at the end of day the scoreline is all that matters though

They will need to win both of their games obviously and we need to screw up against Qarabag. If that happens..

It's also games like this that will make our better players like Eden think twice with the big names linked with him every season. We continually fail to build on successful sides. That's two title winning seasons and twice we have went backwards, it's hardly a coincidence now, something is wrong here.

You can get lucky once, maybe twice, but a solid 3-0? No, we haven't been good enough, missed chances yes, but we have problems which caused individual errors because our organisation is all over the place. Some players can't pull their weight which is leaving others exposed.

Never fancy our chances when we go behind. Conte needs to work more on his tactics from a rescuing games perspective

 

Hopefully roman can see how far off the pace this squad he has assembled is from being able to compete with even the likes of roma. 

This won't be a pretty season.

Like Jose I think Conte is bringing this on himself. I think he works players too hard and they lose their freshness. This two in midfield is a train crash for us with Fab in it.

We may have spent that but we have sold or loaned out twice as many and somehow made our squad smaller and not significantly upgraded it either. Only at Chelsea

Weird game as in the first 45 we played some really good stuff (well mainly Hazard did). But at times tonight we have been comical. The bit of play where our three defenders all ran to the same man leaving two completely unmarked was schoolboy stuff - quite astonishing.

No leaders, no-one that can dig in and show they care. As soon as we went 2-0 down the heads clearly dropped. Doesn't help when you have s striker who looks so bereft of confidence it is the old cliche of playing with 10 men. Bakayoko? How about instead of experimenting with your crazy hair styles learn the f**king basics of what you're actually paid for.

I'm so pissed off as tonight could have been so different and now we have Utd on Sunday and on tonights performance Hazard is the only one who merits a start. Conte needs to get out the massive hairdryer and give them an absolute coating.

 

Alonso this season has looked like that player a lot thought we bought, a player below the required level. Missing out on a LB is going to be seriously damaging this season i think. LB and CM is by far our weakest positions this season and it's where things have gone so wrong.

Fabregas cannot, MUST not play against United. Rest him until January, or maybe even longer.

Manager and players both responsible for this, individual mistakes, played well after the first goal then just gave up, no spirit this group.
