It looks like most of people in this forum expected us to walk over Arsenal here. Such a sour mood against a fierce rival.

Since when has arsenal been a fierce rival? They aren't a top four team and we are champions. Conte is just clueless on how to play arsenal.

This 3 at the back nonsense has to end soon. You need quality fullbacks to play this sort of formation. Midfield is too clogged because the outside backs aren’t offering enough.

Have to do better.

That was yet another terrible football match. It really wasn't much better than the game against Norwich. Too often this season we have looked like a mid table side rather than a top 4 Premier League side. I'm getting worried about this now, we just look so toothless in attack.

You have really low standards of this Chelsea side if you think we can't beat an Arsenal B team at home with their manager in the stands.

This should have been comfortable.

teams have figured out how to secure a cleansheet against us, and frankly either Conte has no idea how to counter it or the players have no capability of executing our own strategy

Totally boring game given the expectation leading up to it.  Didn't create anything of any note, but Arsenal came here for the draw and they got it thanks to a sh*te, sh*te performance.  It was drab, no pace, so casual, no intensity, no energy...a chance to take a lead going into the next leg.

I really think we should have gone 3-4-3 rather than this 3-5-2

its too defensive and we are left with only 2 attacking outlets.

not confident of the 2nd leg tbh that was a weakened arsenal team

honestly we should just stick to counter attack and give the other team possession!!! when we're controlling the ball, we don't do much offensively speaking!!!! look at the league game against le arse : we basically relied on counters and 2 vs 2 situations, we looked much more dangerous against these types of teams than we've done tonight!! I mean, counter will be indispensable against barça so... But for tonight match, this was not that great at all. subpar at best. but still, we gotta support the club! UTC!!

And one of them is like bambi on ice when it comes to shooting and the other one is Morata

better 2nd half. Not clinical enough though yet again.

Not a fan of var, it killed the atmosphere at the end then.

I'm not a fan of VAR either, i seen enough of it at the Confederations Cup. It takes too long and they STILL get decisions wrong. That looked a clear penalty on Fabregas. Sky were trying to say Welbeck touched the ball, but that was not what happened at all, Fabregas clearly flicked the ball to the side and Welbeck stepped on Fabregas foot. It was a penalty.
