Scanning the various transfer threads today has made for some of the most depressing reading I can recall. Echo most of the sentiments from you sensible chaps and totally do not understand why we're not in pole position for a much needed world class attacker.

It does not matter how much us supporters jump up and Down.......if this deal go through, wether a loan or permanent, only can confirm how absolute inept our Club are. Afer this there really should not be one ounce of doubt where we are heading as a Club...........man how can Roman want this......not only has he shut up shop with transfers which is both good and bad.........but he has hired some tools higher up.....and seems to not care that much anymore ( dont throw the stadium at me, its been going on for what 7years now? ).

Who on the board has honestly looked at the strikers on the market/available and gone, Yeah Andy Carroll he'd be a great option!

If this is a sign of things to come we're going to hit a massive decline very quickly.

I don't think we are going for Carroll, I expect a new addition probably from Europe.

I wouldn’t actually have that much of an issue with us pursuing him were it not for his fitness levels. When’s he’s fit and on form he’s incredibly dangerous.

Umtiti is quite short for a centre back I think Carroll might do well against him. 

I've always rated him from afar. He's a good option and a real handful for defenders when fit.  

But I can't think of a more terrible fit for us. I just wonder if someone at Chelsea is trying to think this (and Barkley)  is necessary because they think post Brexit English players will be the way forward? Probably not, but just throwing it out there

Na they are not that clever, seriously cant say enough how inept our board are, if we had all the backroom staff of city, we would be making double the money we are now,and buying players like sanchez and neymar
