The pundits, ex footballer by the way, are basically saying obstruction isn't a foul. The same people that would moan if they didn't get a penalty given their way for a tiny touch. Gerrard has no room to talk, that twat won many penalties from the most minimal contact. He would go down if a players laces caught him.

Who on the planet care what Stevie G has to say. He is a chump.

I love Lamps, but he sounds like a disgruntled Southampton fan, not using his head today, or trying too hard to be unbiased.

Either he is following a script/narrative prepared by the producer or has to prove he is unbiased to be taken seriously in punditry.

Gary Neviile goes OTT on United at times, especially when he was first starting out. If all Lamps did was protect Chelsea, viewers would be turned off and he would be replaced imo.

Neville did once need a box of tissues for a Chelsea goal

The second half we were far better but we certainly rode our luck. Now the tricky business of getting FA Cup Final tickets. It's bound to be a palaver. If we did catch Spurs in the Premiership and also win the FA Cup it would be a remarkable turnaround of a season. Let's hope we can do it after so much pain this term.

Got there in the end.

however, we showed signs of this seasons problems. Can’t finish chances, look shaky after going  ahead. And we piss about too much in and around the box.

its nice to be in the final and we definitely can win it, but we need to improve drastically.

This is my worry we look predictable imo and it’s like we aren’t learning from it. I’m just hoping we do what Arsenal did last season and go into the final looking to prove a point.

Good solid performance from our team. Even though they pressed up a bit more in the second half, and despite not understanding why Baka came in for William (like most of our supporters), I think it helped us get back the control of the midfield. And then bring in Pedro to be able to go back to the original more attacking mindset. So I think Conte got it right. I don’t think we looked shaky except on a couple of occasions, and the other teams also play so it is expected that they’ll try to attack us sometimes even have a shot at scoring. Well deserved win.

Great result and another improvement on the pitch it seems. Hazard was back to his best hope he brings that to the final. VAR was in play & that offsite review supported Atkinson re the Big Willy boo boo.

Lets have 4 straight wins to make the spuds uncomfortable, bottlers

I hope your right, but I don't want to do an Arsenal and let it paper over the cracks. If the manager stays both him and the board need to have a look at themselves going forward and improve.

Give it a rest with this "injustice" bollocks BT. Even if that goal was allowed, it would have been 1-1 with us creating all of the chances still.

It does not matter what the outcome......we will always be slated. Incredible the amount of hate we get from these good for nothing so called pro people. And the NeXT time we have a similar incedent you can bet it will go against us.....they just made sure of it.

Totally agree mate

Get in Chels. Good win and into another cup final, Question is if we win the cup does Conte stay on? Would love it to happen and bridges to be rebuilt with the board but looks like this will be his last season here sadly.

P.S Gerrard and Benali are w**kers.::MooNeY::

Might be the most boring first half I have seen this season, but the second half turned into an interesting one, Giroud's goal was class. Hazard finally brings his show, incredible dribbling, creating chances, deserved to score.

Conte has made a mistake with going defensively, Fabregas was our worst player today and Bakayoko could replace him, Willian was highly disappointed and I hope it won't hurt his confidence because he is on fire.

Big final coming, another big fight between Conte and Mourinho, I just hope we will win all our games and grab this cup as well, every trophy is a trophy and it would make us happy for sure.

COME ON CHELS!!!!

Even though we were the better side, we were remarkably lucky to keep a clean sheet. We can dominate games for long periods but we always fail to make our domination tell and we always look vulnerable when the opposition attack, no matter how seldom they attack. The big, big problem is our midfield, though of course there are other areas of concern as well.

We can go 343 as we did today, but we don't have a good enough 2 in midfield. If we go 352, we're basically playing Bakayoko instead of Willian, which is ridiculous given the gap in their quality. It's a real dilemma. Whichever way we go, it's deeply flawed and good sides will tend to make us pay, as we have seen many times this season.

Caballero is just a god awful keeper. What was he doing on that goal that was disallowed? Trying to collect the ball in his midriff? Just punch the ball away you twat. We were very lucky to get away with that. He was also very lucky with another save, from a shot outside the box, and his kicking is awful, truly abysmal. He's nowhere near good enough to be our number two. He's a calamity waiting to happen. Neither Cahill or Rudiger are good enough either, if we want to be a really good side.

I know a lot of you like Rudi and I do too but he's just a notch below top level for me.

As for striker, I like Giroud but he's not good enough to be our front line striker, especially as he never runs in behind. Morata is a great guy to come off the bench but it doesn't look like he can be a front line striker either for a top side, not for an extended period of time, he just doesn't seem to have the mentality.

We need strengthening in a lot of areas for next season. We needed strengthening in a lot of areas last summer, especially as we lost Matic and Costa, and the massive presence of Terry, and we've effectively lost the contribution of Luiz this season for whatever reason. These have all proved very big losses and we need to rectify the situation this summer, if we're to have any hope.

Palmieri looks good though, very good, especially given he'd hardly played any football in the previous year. If he continues playing as he has done these last two games I'd let him keep the spot. Looks like we've found a player there. Potentially can offer us far more than Alonso I think. Still early days though so we'll see.

Edit: Well done Chelsea.

I also didn't see a great deal from Emerson either tbh. If Southampton go down we could do worse than get both Cedric and Bertrand from them.

I think Emerson is going to be great for us,with a preseason under his belt I think he will be flying next season

I think you could be right and i truly hope so. I would also love it if Baka just needs to settle and will come good next season. Maybe if we do end up with Jardim he can bring the best out of him.

I agree about the comments about Willy. very dodgy and with Cahill in front of him I'm sh*tting myself everytime a lofted ball comes into the box.
