Higuain

I hope we can get some form out of him in his later years, but i won't be shocked to see him struggle against teams in this league now he is past his best.

Anyway, enough of Willian, lets get the thread back on topic.............................

Was against us signing yet another striker on the downward spiral but as it's only a temporary loan and he and Sarri have good history, it does seem a no-brainer so come on Higuain, do your stuff!

I was talking about Higuain.:laugh2:

We've got an hour and ten minutes to get him signed and registered if we want to have a centre forward for tomorrow evening. I expect to see another 90 minutes of Eden struggling to play the point.

I would be very surprised if he plays any part against Arsenal.

I mean the game is tomorrow afternoon and he isn't even a Chelsea player yet.

Can't think of many examples of players being included in match day squads within 24-36 hours of being announced by the club.

The only one i can think of is Pedro being chucked straight in for his debut at West Brom the day after we signed him.

Usually we aren't striker-less and desperate for a center forward, and i would imagine most transfers are done before the season starts, so most wouldn't get the opportunity to play so quickly after signing.

I guess Eden will have to score another solo wonder goal of the season.

What a lovely thought. 3 points and an Eden wonder goal would make my weekend.

It could be a good thing not chucking him into first team straight away. Give him some time to get used to the Chelsea team, build up a few relationships before his debut.

I remember Torres’ debut and he looked lost. Didn’t we start him just a few days after signing him?

and franky, he's been in Sarri's system longer than anyone but Jorginho.

Hopefully this gets done today and we can see him in the League Cup against Spurs next week, and then start solidifying Top 4. Spurs and Arsenal are wobbly, so we need to take advantage.

I think Higuain will be upgrade for sure because of his goal scoring ability and Eden is much more dangerous on left side when he have real goal threat in middle. Morata is useless and Giroud is more for link up play (good substitute). We got him on loan so low risk anyway.

Just my opinion

Isn't he also known as a big game bottler? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that we're doing something to rectify the striker problem, just trying to remember what I've heard about Higuain. In any case, I do hope he does well for us, we're desperate for a proper goalscorer.

Thankfully we have one of the best big game players in the world already, Eden Hazard.

Torres made his debut against Liverpool 2 days after he signed, probably wasn't the right decision in hindsight.

Exactly... if he can keep us from dropping points against the likes of Southampton, Leicester, Everton (all home games)...  Wolves, West Ham, etc... I'll consider it an overwhelming success.

Eden scores tomorrow, and Luiz too. Thank me later.

and mine

Well let's say this, Slick Wily can produce moments of Magic - like vs Barca last year or the one vs lolpool (I still believe it was a shot) - but I must admit we haven't given him enough credit for this beauty

The problem is, so are we.

Would you say we are wobbly? I think we are quite consistent, putting the ball in the back of the net is an issue, it's a 180 from the  start of the season when out defence was shakey but we were scoring bags of goals

Our club atm couldn't grab two ends of a lace and tie them neatly

what is holding up the deal is that Chelsea have to offload Morata - w/ FFP Atletico can't take him directly - also Milan have to find a replacement - those are two Huge Hurdles for this deal

That doesn't sit right, if we know Morata is going to go, then a few hours to a supremely wealthy club shouldn't upset our intentions
