Kante will be a welcome return. I still think that midfield is too easy to play through. No point playing all of this nice football if we have teams playing through us with one pass.

this commentator credited Kolasinac with good defense when Pedro and Barkley just ran into each other.... lol

Been like that in the last couple of games, back four very narrow leaving the wings exposed...not sure if that is a tactical plan or the defence is still trying to get over the 3 at the back routines?

This is the most stunning attacking Chelsea performances I’ve seen in years, albeit pre-season. CHO has been phenomenal from start to finish, we really need to make the most of this lad because he is special. 

Assesment of the game so far at half time would be similar to quite a lot of the comments which have already been made. We look great going forward but big gaps between the midfield and defence when we give the ball away. I assume Kante will start ahead of Fabregas which should help plug some of that gap when the season starts proper. Overall to say this is our 3rd game under a new manager with a completely new style of play and formation, we’ve been hugely impressive. 

The only positions I have concern over are left back, a third central midfielder and a striker. Morata is playing like the Chelsea Torres, either his mentality is weak or he doesn’t want to be here. If we can sort a couple of those problems I’ll be very optimistic for this season.

Morata is weak, out of form, bad touch, out of confidence. Everything a player who should not be leading our line. 

Could and should have been at least 3 goals up

Decent first half but the distance between the midfield and defensive line looks too big and causing problems.

Fun first half. The football we have played has been the best of pre season so far. Hudson-Odoi will be starting the Community Shield game, there is no reason for Sarri to leave him out.

Morata and Alonso are still the concerns, not sure what Sarri sees in Alonso at left back. We’ve played well though, moved the ball well, Jorginho and Fabregas have controlled the midfield, Odoi has been superb.

youre hurting my ego.  I've definitely said all of those.  

He's gone.  It's done.  

With CHO performing the way he has in pre-season, I see no reason why Willian should walk back into the team in front of him.

I wonder if we could possibly go 4231 with Kante with Jorginho in the middle and Hudson Hazard & Pedro behind the striker.

Possibly against lesser teams or even when chasing a game that team would offer us incredibly offensive outlets.

Morata is w**k end of he will cost us top 4 this season missing easy chances. Not gona give into this 'give him time' crap he has been like this his entire career. Went on a 3 month goal drought at juventus as well. 

Missed the first 15 mins so I've only just found out morata missed a pen. I thought his confidence looked low.

He has very weak mental strength.

CHO is different class again.
