August 1, 20187 yr Cant make it to the game tonight with work (I'm in Ireland). Gutted but heading over twice to the Bridge before Christmas and will try get over 2 or 3 times more after Christmas. Tickets for the Chelsea & Arsenal ends are meant to be pretty much sold out but the rest of the stadium has plenty of seats left, the price is a bit much though for a mid week game, IMO, even if neither side are usually in Ireland, I think there'll only be about 25k at the game.
August 1, 20187 yr I've just realised that apart from the enjoyment we'd get from beating Arsenal anyway, there is something on this match. If we do win tonight and beat Lyon we'll probably win the tournament (whatever that's worth!)

I'm going, wouldn't mind having a pre-match pint with a forum member!
August 1, 20187 yr I am going to the game tonight in the Aviva stadium in Dublin, vs Arsenal. Hoping we see some sort of strong lineup!

I believe that is what is known as the double lads.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but spuds & BVB are Top of the Table for the ICC - I will agree w/ Jose about this tournament - only the players that didn't goto to Russia are having success - in other news this Kiki Challenge that everyone is trying is awesome - so many people are failing

August 1, 20187 yr Lyon tickets are on general sale now with what appears to be loads left in all areas of the ground.

August 1, 20187 yr I heard on TalkSh*te this afternoon that they've sold about 51,000 tickets for tonights game in Dublin. Pretty incredible if true because they were also saying ticket prices were around 75 Euros ?
August 1, 20187 yr Wehave been doing lots of standing around and not bothering to get fit... We are doomed ! :0) https://www.teamtalk.com/news/mowbray-calls-out-new-chelsea-boss-over-training-methods
August 1, 20187 yr Be an interesting game tonight. Arsenal will probably aim to put the ball over the top to Auba, which will be our weakest point. Both coaches push their players to press the ball, so expecting a pretty open game. Hopefully RLC features tonight, which he should as he's travelled with the squad. August 1, 20187 yr Cech, Bellerin, Sokratis, Mustafi, Kolasinac, Elneny, Ramsey, Guendouzi, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Ozil Strong line up from Arsenal, says a lot about the lack of latter stage World Cup involvement for their best players. We might struggle a bit with this one.
August 1, 20187 yr Dave back in the team and given the captaincy! Telling that Bakayoko and Drinkwater haven’t started a game between them this pre-season. Alonso again preferred from the start, think it’ll stay that way going into the new season.
August 1, 20187 yr Not sold on Alonso as a starter. I feel that opposition players find too much space against him down that flank. Edited August 1, 20187 yr by enigma

Yeah, I don't think Sarris system will work that well with slow players like Alonso and Fabregas in the starting lineup, atleast not the high pressing part.
