Handsome fella. Has one less league goal than Lacazette despite being dumped in the Thames about a month ago.

Tbf it's not just about the goals, Morata has been awful.

If Liverpool get a draw at the Emptyhad it's all-but done, imo. Can't see them losing more than two games for the remainder of the season, particularly as they'll likely be out of Europe earlier than Citeh.

Pep hasn't won a hotly contested title for ages, nobody could touch City last season and Dortmund were in a pretty sorry state throughout his time in Germany. He's going to have to prove his credentials now when it matters most.

I'm not so sure. Liverpool have been in this position a few times. City still favourites for mine. Only takes a little loss of momentum or a fixture pileup to pull the rug from under you.

One advantage Liverpool do have is a deeper squad than previous years. Particularly in midfield. Their recruitment since Klopp joined has been stellar. We could learn a thing or two.

They've never had this big of a lead mathematically in the PL era, iirc. Completely different side to the Rodgers team as well, so the comparison doesn't bear much relevance.

Ominous thing is they're arguably not even playing at full tilt yet, whereas City have completely fallen off their peak. Much talk of Fernandinho quite rightly but it's not all down to his absence, he started when we beat them after all.

Danny Murphy is a f**kwit, a total and utter cretin. Last week says salah didn't dive, this week kane doesn't dive when both were absolutely blatant. He's the same c**t who picks out the slightest negative to use anytime we win.

Played for both clubs...can't hide his bias...looks very smug every time Liverpool are on...likes the sound of his own voice.

Cant believe im rooting for city, the hate for pool is just much much stronger. City has to win and then beat the scum. City ahead with 3 goals......

When Utd fans would prefer City to win the league over Liverpool, you know something odd is up. Apparently the Liverpool rivalry is worse than City, and they see City as more of a hindrance than genuine rivals which is weird.

City are the 'noisy neighbours'; Liverpool are the 'eternal enemies'.

United and City have exchanged players in recent history, whereas Liverpool and Man U haven't.

The rivalry with Liverpool is far greater. Football wise the rivalry got intense in the 70s and 80s when Liverpool used to mock Manchester as a trophy free zone. City became irrelevant during this period, relegated many times and dropping to the third division. Historically though there is a huge rivalry between the two cities dating back to the building of the Manchester Ship Canal which resulted in job losses at Liverpool docks.

tbf a league where manchester united are doing well > Liverpool doing well.

Feels strange to be saying that but this is probably better for the league in general.

Why is it better for the league if they are doing well? The only ones I want to see doing well is Chelsea.

You're interested in a league where only one team is doing well? That's not what I would want at all. That's why Ligue 1 is so boring most of the time.
