Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue

This has to be a wind up, surely no one can that wrong on purpose. Literally everyone else is in agreement that he is playing much better than last season, including your beloved pundits. Yet you think he's worse because he's had a few bookings?

Which is why am not taking the bait he's a troll

Obvious troll is obvious.

The same fans that were slaughtering him under Sarri are praising him under Lampard despite playing the same position with the same dogsh*t performances and virtually no improvement or difference

Let’s not forget his (lack of) presence in midfield has directly led to goals like the Norwich game but people chose to scapegoat the CBs constantly left exposed by him, he’s still highly unathletic/weak and very unsuited to the Prem but please continue to ignore his weaknesses

Was seriously anti Jorginho here myself, and very critical of Sarri, but it's clear he's playing better this season. Last season it was all about Sarri's system which had him recycling possession. This season he's imposing himself more, he's one of the leaders in the team, he's picking more 'forward thinking' passes, making good early passes... he's actually contributing well compared to last season.

Even then he was fine for me. He stopped a lot of dangerous situations just by being a passing option to a player under pressure and then comfortably distributing it to a player who was free from immediate pressure. Trying to adapt to the new football without him would have led to us constantly playing ourselves into danger, look at the sh*t Arsenal get themselves into trying to play out without a specialist DLP.

I think in this system he's our most important player, purely because he's the one player we don't have adequate cover for in terms of the role on the pitch.

There’s this Spanish bloke at Monaco, Fabre-something, who’d do a good job covering there :good2:

Imo, the next step is to find 2 CB's who are quick and good enough on the ball to get it quicker to Jorginho.  Atm, there's way too much sideways passing between Zouma and Tomori.

Cesc was great in terms of creativity but was very susceptible to high pressing, i remember even Sc**thorpe managed to cut him out of the game in the cup once they realized it (after he caused havoc for the first half hour). So for that reason i don't think he won't fare that great playing DLP despite his obvious technical qualities.

Disagreeing is one thing but labelling someone a troll because you’re too f**king stupid to come up with a genuine counter argument is pathetic tbh, having a weird emotional attachment to an average player only makes you right in your own little bubble. Says a lot that barely any rival fans rate him at all (because he does nothing of note to be rated so highly)

Cesc was a world class passer of the ball, his deficiencies were worth covering because he had a true creative output with his ability to progress the ball and his expansive range, not the same for players who can’t contribute at that level

And you know the opinion of all rival fans, right?  Anyway, many people have come up with "a genuine counter argument" above, and you have just ignored them.   If it posts like a troll and it trolls like a troll, it probably lives in a dark, dank place.

I’ve dismissed literally every notable counter argument and ignored the rest, no one has legitimately addressed his horrific lack of athleticism and how easily/often he gets outsmuscled making him woefully out of his depth as a PL base midfielder, as well as his lack of creativity on the ball not making up for it (stolen assists videos are embarrassing when he has 2 in 40+ games)

You need more than to just be a top passer to play DLP. Cesc was far too easy to mark out of games (when opposition targeted that area) which meant he wouldn't have worked in a DLP position.

Would Jorginho be able to constantly play balls over the top as accurately as Cesc did? Probably not but Cesc never did (for us) control games the way Jorginho does.

We saw times where Cesc was a liability in the middle defensively, the Swansea game in his first season here they were demolishing us in the middle. But the Spurs game finally did it and after that the whole setup was changed.

I think with Cesc it was just purely about pace, he was incredibly slow, I don't think Jorginho is anywhere near the defensive liability Cesc was, but last season he certainly was. This season he has improved immensely, he seems to have fit right in the team and he's already commanding it like a captain, I think he's definitely more settled and that's a big factor.

As I've constantly stated before assists are subjective unless you do them at a rate of KDB.

You could play the best through ball in football history yet you're relying on the forward finishing his chance for it to go on record while equally you could play a one yard pass to a player before he smashes it in from 40 yards and oh look they've got an assist. For example, do you reckon whoever passed the ball to Hazard before he ran through the Arsenal defense that time really truly feel they had an assist for that goal?

Key passes is a truer picture than assists, which the defenition of should be redifined.

I think that's the point.  You've dismissed them, you haven't rebutted them with anything like, oh, i don't know, facts or something? Oh, yes, you do have the world of TV punditry on your side,  don't you?  No, actually you don't.  Unless you are counting some muppet who isn't really on mainstream football television.

Think he's doing extremely well so far this season. Playing at a completely different level than last season to his and Lampards credit.

that dude could be Stewart Robson trying to get back at Chelsea fans for laughing at him for his failed takes about Jorginho

Ermmmmm.... OK... I think. No idea what this is on about, but it's still better than that trolls posts.

I wouldn’t say dismissed, I’d say aimed a bunch of foul language at the poster.

BTW Yorkers; if you were ‘arguing’ with quite a large group of people and everyone last one of them disagreed with you, would you perhaps consider you may actually be wrong? Asking for a friend.

In fact don’t answer, you’re probably the wrong person to ask :laugh2:

Silly childish name calling as usual from people who can’t refute my points but I’m the troll? Still not as funny as the people claiming Cesc wasn’t athletic enough and didn’t “control” games only to heap praise on a player leagues below him

What’s the point of a forum if everyone is forced to have the same opinion, sounds more like a cult to me

I like Jorginho!

RJBOfficial does not!

He also does not like players in Everton.

Is there a pattern here?

And you're nominated to be sacrificed!

PS. Nobody is forced to have the same opinion but yours is very far from any objective facts.
