My patience has grown as thin as it can with Jorginho. Great at pens, but what is he actually good at? I'm sure someone with a more analytical mind can tell me because I am bemused at what he does well. He was brought in by Sarri to do what? Why is he still here after all this time when he adds very little. He doesn't create, he isn't a goal threat from midfield, he lacks physicality.

Oh someone with a more analytical mind will definitely try and tell you how good he is no doubt. He's not suited to a league like this and never has been.

It's f**king painful watching him, like you say what on earth does he actually do, breaks up the odd attack then passes the ball backwards. It's f**king sh*te can't stand watching him play. 

The last two EPL matches have really hammered home how poor he is defensively. Both Newcastle and Arsenal have DMs who have natural athleticism and physical strength and can play all over the pitch. 

He didn't make any important defensive contribution until the 85 minute yesterday. He doesn't mark opponents. He doesn't win 50/50s. He has zero aerial ability. He doesn't close down space. He turns like a tanker and he can't make recovery runs and tackles.

Getting a proper replacement DM in January is absolutely a top priority.

I agree. The CL match proves again that with time and space he can make forward passes and be influential.  But he has no ability to maintain this approach in a league with our tempo. Got away with a lot yesterday, getting free kicks for his histrionic plummeting to the ground. I do like him but can only really play against European opposition in my opinion. We need more.

That's a huge reach and basically fake news, with him we have never finished below top 4 no matter which manager or formation he played in.

Show me a player that is right now playing well for us, ah right you can't do it...

Never challenged for a league title since he joined either. Managed to make top 4 in spite of him, not because of him. Never sustained any type of form for longer than a short knock out tournament and been made to play more defensive to cover his inadequacies. The day he leaves we improve ten fold.

None of this is true, you’re just fake news. Challenging for the title has more to do with the lack of quality in front, something that I have already written about.

Yes you're right, having a midfield you can quite literally walk through has no relevance to a title challenge.

Did you expect Sarri to be a title contender?
Or Lampard?
Or Tuchel when he took over once Lampard got sacked?
If so, that's your problem and it definetly has nothing to do with Jorginho being in our team.

I didn't expect Sarri to be a title contender because it was the start of a rebuild.

I didn't expect Lamps to be a title contender after having to watch Jorginho for a year and him still being in the team.

I didn't expect Tuchel to be a title contender after having to watch Jorginho for 2 and a half years and him still being in the team.

I don't expect Potter to challenge until Jorginho leaves either.

I know the timeline of that logic since I have been here prior to Jorginho, enjoy:

1. Jorginho doesn’t fit for the PL

2. Jorginho is only here because of Sarri, he won’t last

3. We will never win anything with Jorginho

4. We will never win anything big with Jorginho

5. We will never win the league with Jorginho

6. Jorginho is the sole reason why we haven’t managed to win the league

As you can notice, the goalposts changed a few times during the last 4-5 seasons. It has nothing to do with any real analysis nor observation, just seeking a way to trashtalk.

Sarri without Jorginho doesn’t get to implement his style of play, even with Jorginho he complained and even said that our players need to go back to basics. So at least I know what I’m talking about, Jorginho did something good for us since we were outside of top 4 the season prior. Saying that he’s the reason why we didn’t compete for league titles doesn’t make my logic flawed and there is even less proof of that second statement in comparison to mine. But feel free to see how we did without Jorginho in the recent years yourself.

 I mean finishing 5th prior to Conte leaving and signing Jorginho fully stops the attempt of saying that our lack of a league title is only due to us having Jorginho. Talk about flawed logic you just made one. Does your line of thinking also include all other players we got when we signed Jorginho, like e.g. Kovacic? Why don’t you make that argument then - Since we signed Kovacic we never won the league.

I think that deep down you know this is all stupid... The reality is that after Conte left we were very far behind the top 2 teams that Sarri could actually talk about it without the club putting pressure on him, I think it was around 30 points difference so go ahead and blame Conte or the club but not 1 player.
