Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue

Any inside info you can give us @Gol15on Jorgis next move and the contract talks with Chelsea?

In an ideal world he (like Kante) signs a short deal on reasonable wages and plays back up to a big new signing like Enzo Fernandez.

Hard one to sell though realistically speaking.

We signed Frank Lampard from a West Ham team that finished 15th for big money, might be before you followed Chelsea but that one turned out pretty well pal.

This argument you're making about West Ham's league position really isn't the 'gotcha' you think it is lmao

Not sure why would it matter how West Ham was over 20 years ago but just to play along, they were sitting at 7th place after 16 matches, so much higher than today with Rice, ooopsy... Either way, comparing Lampard and Rice is hilarious and only you are capable of coming up with such nonsense 💀

Better not, I'm tired of 99% of the forum hating Jorginho for no reason, he did good for us and served his full contract so good luck in the future as far as I'm concered.

Agreed

Think that is Gol confirming no new deal with Chelsea then...

Hate is a bit strong, he’s just ill suited to pace & power of the PL.

Which is why he looks so much better in the CL.

If we want to win the league, we need a new midfield IMO.

I dont think anyone has issue with that opinion. For me it's not totally true but there's for sure better options out there.

It's the mocking he's been getting and insistence on even turning his good points into a negative (even shortly after the UCL win) that's gets people's back up.

He’s not my cup of tea, as I think his faults outweigh his benefits.

However, I’m not entirely convinced that Rice massively improves us.

Nah the reported wages he wants he's free to leave.

Now until next summer for our data guru's to find an adequate replacement.

Ruben Neves

Enzo Fernandez

The two that come to my mind.

We'll need a new attack, new defenders and a new keeper too, no pressure.

I wonder why Ruben Neves is still at Wolves. Many rate him highly, so why has he not been snapped up by Pool, City, PSG, Bayern or the like?

I don't think neves is that good.

And that he is still at Wolves suggests as much to me. Otherwise he should have already followed Jota to something much better.

He is definitely good enough to be rotational player but Wolves will ask tons of money so it is not worth it.

And this season still isn't finished so West Ham are likely to finish higher than the 15th place they finished back then, not really difficult to understand champ. I'm not comparing the players, I'm comparing the circumstances. Use a bit of critical thinking and make this easier for both of us here. Your argument is we shouldn't sign Rice because West Ham are 16th and we should aim higher. I just gave you a complete like for like example of a player the same age, from the same club, in the same league position and now you're changing the goal posts again. Classic gol.

He is slow and easily bullied.

I hear you, maybe the price tag?. Started for Portugal last game and there midfield is pretty stacked with talent.

I think Neves is a similar type player to Jorginho with PL experience, contract running down thats why i mentioned him.

Maybe in a better team we see a better player.

Bit like Rice, Bellingham and Mount VS USA.

You mean the clean sheet game? Yeah solid for a team that didn't get out of first gear all game.

Just a shame Kane couldn't score to save his life, rather stand at CDM pinging 60 yard diags.

Didn't get out of first gear because USA played well, given the opposition some credit.
