Definitely, we would have sold him if we had got a buyer for him. That means we shouldn't be thinking he should be our first choice goalkeeper, for me he is one of the bottom 5 goalkeepers in the Premier league.

So we should get a better goalkeeper, and he should be second choice, or if slonina is good, he should be first choice and Kepa our second choice goalkeeper.

Sanchez is sh*t. Really hope that rumour is all hot air.

Sanchez, imo, is no upgrade on Kepa. Raya or Martinez would be.

Raya and Sanchez are probably two of the only keepers in the league that are a downgrade on Kepa. Quite impressive anyone wants them, if they do it can only be to play second fiddle.

Raya is just KepaLite. There's a reason even Spain would rather have Kepa in net. 

Kepa really isn't all that bad if I'm being completely honest. He's probably like the 5th or 6th best keeper in the league, off the top of my head only Allison, Ederson, and Martinez are clearly better keepers. Others like Raya, Pickford and Pope can be made a case for either way but not clearly better. 

All this to say, I would be perfectly fine going into the season with Kepa if we are unable to get an elite upgrade (I would have loved Onana personally).

His arms are only 0.3m from pit to tip though, that's the issue

Kepa's metrics in cross stopping % and save % outside of the box are among the worst in the league.

The fact that the main angle of defense for Kepa is performances in a 12th place Chelsea team says everything I need to know.

He had a very "meh" season, but before Ben Roberts (who he has worked with for about 10 years) left to join you, he was really good. Especially his aerial ability is something extra.

If he is better than Kepa or not... don't think so actually. But less prone to making big mistakes.

The way people critisize Kepa is really something else ... Every other goal we concede is his fault. He somehow manages to be the worst keeper in the league according to fans while also statistically being one of the best. 

Peoples take on Kepa is farcical now, the hysteria around him by some of our fans is hilarious. He isnt in the bottom 3 in the league for f**ks sake, he also isn't one of the best unfortunately. But he is a good keeper, only one with a few glaring failures in his game unfortunately. I would be more than happy to see us replace him, but also if we dont then it isn't the end of the world and play to his strengths while defending his weaknesses, the same as any other player in the squad.

I don't think anyone is actually using that as an excuse, there just hasn't been any links to keepers that are a genuine upgrade. Why spend £40m on someone who is just as meh.
