August 1, 20205 yr Ahhhh, if only we were bringing in three elite attacking players to take the burden off him.......

Yeah this is what makes me unworried regarding his injuries. He won’t need to play every single game like he did on the restart. The only ones he missed were because of injury. The lad will get some much needed rest next season and we won’t sacrifice quality because of it.

August 2, 20205 yr Top talent, he’s better than I thought. But and it’s a big but, it is worrying how he keeps getting injured

August 2, 20205 yr Big player for the big occasion. It sucks that he hurt his hamstring just as he lined up a shot. He tends to fade if he doesn't receive the ball but this can be a good thing as well since his movement is fantastic thus he is always a goal threat on and off the ball. No idea why Alonso doesn't like to give him the ball.

August 2, 20205 yr I saw a video from a doctor on this and he guessed 12 weeks. It's the off-season so he has time to recoup. Worst thing is that it may limit him with pre season training.

As a recently graduated google expert on hamstrings it could be a few days to 5 weeks depending on how bad it is. I don’t think it’s a strain more than a tear because he was stood in the tunnel watching at the end. It’s a good time for him to put his feet up and have a deserved rest though!

There’s no chance him and Azpi can recover fully and get match fit that quickly from what looked like two really bad hamstring injuries.

And he's overly cautious because he knows it. He's fine at crossing the ball but making a quick, pinpoint pass in traffic isn't his thing. I think he is unwilling to take what he perceives to be chances with the ball. He does love to slow sh*t down (because he is slow) and pass the ball back instead of feeding it to Pulisic though. And it is frustrating because it's been apparent for while now that the more touches Pulisic gets, the better Chelsea's chances.
August 3, 20205 yr I’ll say something potentially controversial, if you offered hazard back as a swap for Pulasic, considering the ages and styles of play I’d keep Pulasic. More direct, more of a goal threat and I think he can be better than hazard, as brilliant as hazard is at times he stopped the attack years of passing round the box and not penetrating I think was lending to his start stop style, wasnt good for us in the big picture, wasn’t nearly direct enough. Pukasic always wants in the box, via the shortest route possible, no hesitation, and he really steps up to the task for a 21 year old, defiantly has world class ability.
August 3, 20205 yr Nothing controversial. I am sure Madrid would take Pulisic in this swap in a heart beat. Pulisic got another 8-10 years of prime in him, whereas Hazard maybe have 3-4 prime years left? Hazard is a proven commodity for sure, but I think it's worth to take a risk on Pulisic if I am Madrid. However, it seems Pulisic is finding his groove with Chelsea. I love for him to stay and win many trophies with Chelsea in the coming years. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by haviet1
August 3, 20205 yr That’s a tough call. But Pulisic is now our player that gets everyone out their seats when he touches the ball, much like Hazard. As said above, will be great with attacking reinforcements to lesson the load on him and remove opposition focus (one of our attackers will be granted space!).

August 3, 20205 yr What I love about Pulisic is his drive. He still forced himself on after his hamstring went and ran another 10 yards before getting a shot off. You can see him screaming as he's running, think it scared the Arsenal players away! If he had scored that, it would go down in history as one of the greatest FA cup final goals for me, for sheer determination.

Although if he re-injured the same muscle they may consider holding him out for longer.
August 4, 20205 yr Reportedly out for 4-5 weeks. That's not too bad. Shouldn't miss more than the opening game next season.

I was looking and all I could find in terms of time-frame is Pulisic saying that he would "be back in no time". I don't put much stock into that. One because athletes always give optimistic sounding replies to when they will be back and two because "no time" is not really well defined. I know hamstring issues tend to linger though especially if you push the athlete back out there before it's completely healed.
