June 8, 20224 yr The biggest issue is that he only has 2 years left on his deal and given unhappiness (possibly overstated), would sign a new deal? There’s a current trend of players who are running down their deals. Even if we do offer him a new deal, it’s a difficult one to negotiate given him poor form and playing time demands.

I lost count of the amount of times I had to argue against people who thought he was inconsistent, not doing enough, couldn't be world class because he doesn't score enough amoung other things. And that wasn't just opposition fans either.

June 8, 20224 yr 15 minutes ago, Argo said: @Moda quick search came up with this. Yea it does just look like one or two randoms back then that obviously didn't like him or just wanted to be dramatic. In fact, if you look at that FLYMJ posts on his profile, it's really quite comical. Quote Damien Duff contributed more to Chelsea than Eden Hazard. That is a fact. Also the Premier League was the best and strongest league in the world from 2004-09. Quote Did you really just ask me if Hazard would benefit from shooting more? When this is the biggest thing people criticism him for. Yeah people were saying that during his first three seasons then he started performing. Yeah he is a great player but he is extremely overrated. Quote So because a player had a great run of form for 5 months he has bottle in your world? The fact of the matter is Hazard simply doesn't produce the goods when he is needed most. He has been here for 5 years and is living off a purple patch. No wonder he hasn't logged in for years!
June 9, 20224 yr I'm all for people's own personal beliefs and I belief whilst some players can be defined as objectively good, people's opinions on players will always be subjective. Someone will always be able to claim a good player is bad and vice versa based on their own individual criteria which dictates to them what is considered as "good". Where Eden Hazard is concerned if anyone can honestly look at his time at Chelsea and not rate him as a top player (emphasis on when he was here not his Madrid time). Then football isn't the sport for them. They should be watching a different game.
June 19, 20224 yr The possibility of selling him this summer has increased given the Athletic are reporting he doesn't not want to sign an extension.

June 19, 20224 yr He doesn't want to sign an Extension? Surely there's no way he would ever be offered an extension. A guy who hasn't had a single good season in his professional career and has had 7 bad seasons at top European clubs isn't worth the ink it would take to write a contract our for him. If we can leverage his "commercial value" to get 20m for him we'll have done well. As a footballer Pulisic has never been worth more than 5m and never will be imo. The time to sell is now. Actually it was 3 years ago but now is as good a time as any. Edited June 19, 20224 yr by HazardousChoice
July 11, 20224 yr I'm sure it has been said elsewhere, but I can't see new American ownership come in and sell the prized American asset on the team. I expect him to be here again this season, and then if no improvement, he's gone
July 11, 20224 yr Hope there is no interference from above regarding playing time or amount of appearances for Pulisic
July 22, 20223 yr Just bumping my boy up in the threads section - noticed no comments on him since the 11th. Don't want you all forgetting about him;)

Either way, you are non-supportive.

Define this to a fan who has been supporting the club and its players through thin and thin since league Cup final day 1972, a fan who went week in week out whilst we were at the foot of Division 2 just as much as Wembley cup finals. This is sport its competitive. Far from being non supportive, fans like me have been extra supportive. We're the ones saying that players from our academies who have worked like mad shouldn't be farmed to clubs like Palace if some of the first teamers are not performing and are preventing them from reaching their potential here. You might be bumping up your boy but we're doing the same for the likes of Conor Gallagher who deserves the same chance

Pulisic have been dogsh*t since the purple patch, which was what, 2 years ago? He’s one of the least important players in the team but of course we will still support him and hope he does well, why wouldn’t we? Calling it hatred is really daft. The harsh reality is your American golden boy hasn’t been good enough for us and that needs to change this season, it feels abit like his last chance to impress.
