April 14, 20224 yr The Premier League is expected to take the remainder of this month to evaluate those involved in the Chelsea bids, and its work to approve all four consortia means the process may need to be extended. - @SkyNews Honestly, this is going to screw us if we’re not careful.

That seems right. I understand why Raine want all 4 approved as the last thing they want is to have to say "well we know we recommened somebody that failed the PL test but this next one we are sure is good". 3 minutes ago, JM7 said: All four bidders trying to buy #Chelsea say that they will make cash-only offers. April 14, 20224 yr This sh*t is taking forever. I just want it to be done with so we as fans can move on. Also still have a lot of uncontracted players at the club that we need to keep hold of like Rudiger and these delays arent doing us any favours.

April 14, 20224 yr Really hope they get this sorted soon so the club can conduct normal business. The way they were talking about how fast they wanted it sold, you just knew that something was gonna cause them to extend deadlines and drag it on.

Maybe if we are lucky the new owners will want to make a big splash like Roman did to announce themselves. 😉
April 14, 20224 yr I have the Answer. All 4 bidders join together, that comes in at around £14,000,000,000 Result = We do whatever we f**king like.
April 14, 20224 yr Eugene Tenenbaum has been sanctioned by the UK government today. Chelsea have yet to comment if the director still holds his position at the club now. Rumor has it Marina could be sanctioned too.

It's because Roman basically transferred ownership of businesses/assets to Tenenbaum wjen the war started to try and protect them. I was expecting to be sanctioned as well until I realised I was only transferred Lukaku's shooting boots.

They'll appoint JT (or another club legend) as a human shield knowing the fanbase will never turn against them and that said club legend will be too grateful for the job to challenge their running of the club (they may even go a step further and actively defend the owners like Ole did). That's how these owners work and it's very clever, they'll never get backing directly but be sure they'll gain it via the back door (if we're backing a 'human shield' then we will for all intents and purposes be backing the owners).
April 14, 20224 yr While this government is breaking every law, we still don’t know whether fans other than season ticket holders can go to Stamford bridge for the Arsenal and West Ham games next week, do we? And it goes for the away fans too. So the sooner they sort out the sale, the better. Hopefully we can attend the first game of next season.
April 15, 20224 yr I don't trust a single one of these groups. All this stuff about "golden shares" and bringing on ex-players as .00001% owners and having 5-8 billionaires per group.... that's a mess. All of these groups are trying to appeal to the fans by promising "goodies" for suckers while in reality once they own the club there is nothing stopping them from changing their minds. All these billionaires just want to own a great asset so they can tell the world they have something scarce. I doubt 90% of them have ever attended a PL match, much less a Chelsea match. Does anyone believe hedge fund billionaires plan to lose money to win titles? LOL! Heck no! They plan to break even, raise ticket prices to "maximize value" and try for some kind of Super League the first chance they get. They will pass on their ownership to their bratty rich-kids. I am deeply worried about how this turns out.

And it goes for the away fans too. So the sooner they sort out the sale, the better. Hopefully we can attend the first game of next season. We actually do know that other than ST holders no other tickets are available to Chelsea supporters for those two games. There will be both Arsenal and WHU supporters in attendance At this time I believe the current situation is that Chelsea supporters will be able to buy for away games thankfully there are just three away games left Leeds, Utd and Everton. We have 5 home games. Arsenal, WHU, Wolves, Leicester & Watford . I doubt that much will change save possibly the Watford and at a push the Leicester game and that is hugely dependent on how the sale proceeds. Once a preferred bidder emerges which possibly will be next week then it’s going to take around 10 days for the PL to conduct the fit and proper test. The reality is that it’s going to take that time to get finances in place and the wording around the contractual obligations in place. Unless I am missing something this is more about the purchase of shares in Fordstam the assets of that company include 100% of the shares in the football club and therefore the test will probably be initially just about ownership and not at this time a fit and proper evaluation of directors the current ones almost certainly will remain in place and as appropriate replaced over a short period. There are only two directors in Fordstam From memory I think there are six directors in the Football Club one is now sanctioned so he will resign ASAP his nationality like Marina is actually Canadian so not quite sure we have heard the end of the matter as far as he is concerned . The other 4 are mainly administrators albeit high level ones . I know this appears to be taking a long time but actually it’s moving very very fast. I suspect that the players will know what each groups plans are in relation to the players themselves and whilst new contests can’t be signed off at this point in time that will probably change before the last game of the season and be under no illusion discussions will already be taking place regarding out goings and indeed in comings. It’s easy to forget that players are still contracted for near enough a month after the season ends. Edited April 15, 20224 yr by terraloon
April 15, 20224 yr Thanks! I thought they were going to let fans buy tickets just like the FA and UEFA did. I don’t understand why away supporters can attend but not home supporters, other than STH, since the money goes to Chelsea anyway (if I understood correctly what a friend I go to matches with told me). Maybe you can let us know what happens with the away ticket money in general. And there’s the consideration of the competition being rigged, since it will feel like Chelsea is playing away every match.
April 15, 20224 yr If the new owners understand the meaning of competing in every front every season we are good. That is pretty simple but massively important idea. You just need to agree with that idea and everything else follows including money and profit even. To be profitable we need to build Chelsea brand bigger and more global to rival MU, Real and Barcelona. We need to upgrade SB to 60-65k seater. None of this comes if we don't win trophies and be up there always. To be competitive on the pitch we need elite talent behind the scenes, coaching and not the least on the pitch. None of this is possible if we can't win trophies. We need to be able to attract top talent. To have the best combination of talent on the pitch we need our youth system to be one of the best so we don't have to buy the lukakus of the world every season. It is not sustainable. If the new owner understands this and has this as the mainstay idea of operation we are okay in my books.

From my understanding there are different arrangements in place but in effect other clubs act as agents and will collect payments .. I think, at am not 100% sure that away fans money while under licence will be donated to charity again I think that is very much the case for the FACup matches and the CL game. Normally after a small % which the away clubs keep to cover their expenses the money is paid to the club hosting the match Season Ticket holders paid their money months ago so not really an issue. For the FACup semi the bulk of the proceeds go to the FA. The four participating clubs gave significantly more prize money even if they loose
April 15, 20224 yr BREAKING! The Ricketts-led consortium has withdrawn its bid to buy Chelsea, the group has confirmed in a statement. The Chicago Cubs owners and their partners opted not to submit a final bid for the Blues, with consortium members understood to be unable to agree the final composition of their offer. - @NickPurewal
