Perhaps I was wrong in including him in the list, it's not that he has been a bad signing and i agree he has contributed significantly to our squad, but when he is bad he is a liability, when he is good he can be world class. But i think we all know at our level we expect more from him... he has the tools but doesn't utilise them enough imo

Watch Alonso closely, he may not be the quickest, but he is the silkiest of players, with a phenomenal skill set, and a first touch easy that of Havz or Reece..plus he certainly hasn’t been a poor acquisition not by a long long margin……

Todd Boehly has the most concrete and expansive plans for development of Stamford Bridge. Broughton has been asked to provide a timescale for how quickly Harris/Blitzer can offload Palace shares. Palace fully cooperative so no delays expected.

Stephen Pagliuca sees Chelsea and Atalanta working together. Has high-profile investors and sees a development of Stamford Bridge as not just ‘improving’ the stadium but allowing it to be multi-functional away from just #CFC games.

- @JacobsBen

The roadmap and cost for achieving this is seen as vaguer than the other two bids at this stage and may count against Pagliuca. But Chelsea do like the idea of generating more non-football income.

The Stephen Pagliuca-led bid for #Chelsea sees the development of Stamford Bridge as not just improving the stadium, but allowing it to be multi-functional [more than just football].

[via @JacobsBen]

More questions that need to be answered then.

Way I read that @JM7 is, as expected, Bohley is using Goldsteins knowledge of London development to form the most solid development for the bridge and timescale for it.

As expected the Palace shares for Sir Martins bid need to be sorted before they are considered. No mention of his stadium plans.

Pagliucas sound to me like forming a deal with a NFL side to play a few games a season at the bridge, possibly add some athletic element to it, maybe a WWE event and concerts. That would require a retractable roof and probably a more in depth Bridge redevelopment than just a football stadium..

I see Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams have now joined Sir Martin's bid.  It seems to change by the day in terms of who is getting involved.  I thought Hamilton was a Gooner.

Serena Williams investing in Chelsea is one of the most random things I've ever read.

Not keen on Sir Broughton & I’d hope Roman throws out their bid. They definitely see us an investment, and I doubt they are in for the long haul.

While none of them are perfect, I think Boehly is the best of the lot based on what I've read about the three bidders.

Whats with all the close competitor supporters trying to grease into the club then?

Fastest way to wreck the club is to have a load of dishonest rats trying to pile into what is seemingly a slowly tanking situation

Probs turns out the ricketts were best and questions need to be asked why that chicargo chelsea fan lot piped up, At this point its possible that weve been fiddled out the best owners!

Lets just hope Raine have got some good lawyers when it comes to this agreement of spending and expansion of the club, Imagine we end up with mike ashley in a year or 2!!

It's making me sick, every day there is a new backer in one of the groups, what with the crap we watched last night its all just making the club a laughing stock,it's bloody pathetic and needs to end soon.

Absolutely. I'd rather have Roman invest 25% in new players than what he did, than any new owner to be fair. I don't trust these new owners to have the best interests of the club or fans at heart.

He is. Perhaps yesterday's performance was supposed to soften the deal?

Joining Canners with meeting potential @ChelseaFC owners this month, was a real honour.

I didn't get the chance to meet Pagliuca, he had a call with Paul instead.

There was one meeting, though, where I left thinking "it has to be them".

They simply got it ... (1)

Todd delayed his flight so he was able to meet Paul and get to know him.  He spoke of Paul being Chelsea's Jackie Robinson and he also touched on the importance of institutions like CFC and the Dodgers looking after former players and keeping them in the bosom of the Club (3)

As for Barbara and Daniel, they are Chelsea through and through. They haven't just been shipped-in to add some glitz to the party or to tick a box. It felt like speaking with friends and if they are successful, CFC is very much in safe hands #TeamBoehly (4)

It sounds like Boehley is the real deal and the safest pair of hands.

As you have advocated from the start.

I wonder why JT did not back him then?

Also apparently Sir Martin will put Hamilton and Williams at the head of Chelsea's anti-discrimination campaign and use them to tap in to new markets.

Urgh, who cares.

I'm black so don't think I'm being racist or anything. To me, this stuff is good if what's happening on the pitch is great. I don't want them focusing on these little campaigns when the main goal is to take us back to the top again. We are a football club foremost.

I think Sir Martins bid is primarily about making a difference social first and foremost form what I have read.

Then I don't want him.

*Sigh* Looks like Boehly is the best option.

Yeah its looking like too many hands in the pot.

Have to wonder if the 3bill price tag is actually a good thing for the club or not.

Assuming the money goes to the war victims then absolutely great for them.

3 billion would have stopped Roman buying us in the first place most likely only a few people, like Musk or Bezos, could drop that without needing help.

How many people are involved in each of these bids and will own stakes? 10? 15? Plus hedge fund companies?

I haven't posted here in a while but I figured I would add my two cents. Todd Boehly's consortium is my primary choice because I'm very familiar with the LA Dodgers and how well they are run. One of the best organizations in baseball and American sports in general. They know how to build a team and keep winning. Some of that has to do with their deal with Turner Sports for local coverage, which is a very lucrative deal, but they spend that money very smartly and maintain one of the best farm systems in baseball. They've won over the past decade by building talent and signing major stars, but again, they sign the stars that make their team better. A lot of American sports franchises just sign big stars and wallow in mediocrity because they didn't sign the players they needed (think the Philly 76ers or the NY Jets). Mark Walter, who is the principal owner of the LA Dodgers, is involved with Boehly's consortium so I'm very confident they'll take the lessons learned from baseball and figure out a way to apply them to football (and they will let people who know their stuff run things). I think we'll see more lucrative sponsorship deals because of their expertise in maximizing cash flow.

The consortium appears to know each other very well too, and Hansjorg Wyss has done business with Boehly in the past, being one of the key investors in Eldridge. Boehly has also worked with Goldstein and Clearlake Capital in the past, so the risk of anything going wrong with their group is very minimal. The amount of random names thrown in the Pagliuca or Broughton consortiums has me concerned that investors could pull out down the line, or there will be damage done from internal bickering or what have you. Ultimately, I wouldn't be too worried about any of the three remaining candidates but I would feel a lot more comfortable if Boehly ends up being our owner. A lot more certainty and expertise compared to the other bids.

From what I know, Stephen Pagliuca is a very good owner and the Boston Celtics are somewhat comparable to the LA Dodgers. Josh Harris and Dave Blitzer, who will have a controlling stake in the Broughton bid, have a spotty record at best when it comes to sports teams. The 76ers have underperformed for years, and the New Jersey Devils aren't really perennial contenders in the National Hockey League.

Also, I will echo what was posted earlier in regards to Boehly's meeting with Paul Canoville. He seems very genuine and will honor the legacy of this club and players like Canoville, and will continue our work to fight discrimination and bigotry in all forms.

Oh god, that's all we need.

It's Boehly for me if I had the power to decide the next owner.
