BlueCo buy Chelsea FC

I actually think the pulling of sponsors is a good thing because it will probably move things a lot quicker and a sale will be quicker.

Yep. Soon we’ll be playing in tie-dye blue shirts with the Chelsea badge drawn crudely on there with magic marker.

Oh Lord, we are going to look like clowns. As if the current banter isn't bad enough.

Who is negotiating the sale of our football club to new owners ?

Nobody. As of now we are stuck in a stalemate between Roman and the Government

The situation is quite despicable. You wanna prove yourself to be tough against Putin by crippling a football club. Even if they convince themselves that they are doing this to pressure Abramovich, he was already planning to the sell the club. These measures will hurt Chelsea more than Abramovich, though I doubt they care. In the end it’s bullsh*t politics, nothing to do with morality. But we won’t forget this injustice. And if they and the other POS rival supporters think that this will destroy Chelsea they have another thing coming. We will continue to support Chelsea even if it means playing in a conference league.

These sponsors jumping on the bandwagon now with their moral grandstanding.

Both of their statements are full of sh*t and hypocisy.

Hyundai claiming they want to support the sport to be a force for good, but at the same time are happy making deals with countries that are horrible when it comes to human rights.

Three couldn't make a statement without advertising themselves at the same time "we are offering connectivity packages to all Ukrainians arriving in the UK, and those in Ukraine"

I’m getting a few texts from mates who support rival teams - mainly City and Liverpool. All very smug and righteous

Any tips for dealing with them?

TBH losing the 3 doesn't bother me much, I hate that sponsor anyway. It's a bad sign to put '3' on our shirts, when we're technically 3rd best team in the league at the moment and aspire to be number 1.

I just hope we have enough reserves in the bank somewhere to see us through to a sale, and remain in with a shout of the top 4.

So, if Chelsea is sold, I know proceeds and funds don't go to Roman, so who would the money go to? Does it not matter if the sale of the club was going to go to Ukrainian refugees, and fighting the war - or however it was worded? Is the government going to take those funds for themselves? Does anything matter anymore>?

I knew this day was coming, but it still is shocking.

I know that the idea behind this is to ensure that funds aren't supporting Putin's war in Ukraine, but at what point do they stop and think about the thousands of people the club employ in London and around the country through their charities? It just seems that the UK government has been looking for a reason to do this since RA purchased the club and now they've got their prize and f**k anyone else it effects.

The funny thing nothing has changed with Roman or his involvement with anything from yesterday to today, but now the sponsors are standing on their moral high horse acting only because of our incompetent government.

The goverment have come out with a damning statement about Roman's relationship with Putin and involvement in the Ukraine invasion though. That's whats made the big difference here.

The one plus out of all of this awfulness is that we are dead certs to win the Champions League, again.

It would be bloody hilarious if we did, and would mean more than any other trophy I've seen us win, all things considered currently.

Even IF we did, the wheels is going to fall off hard after the CL.

(That's if we don't get sold by then)

We're going to have to break out the 1970s kit, short shorts and all.

Honestly, I don't know what to think.  Emotions are high.  So much of this seems out of place relative to what the west is actually trying to achieve.

FYI, Bournemouth have a Russian owner - anyone looking there?

There is still not enough evidence to prove he is helping fund the war or promotes it, he's merely a target by matter of country of birth and past association. Just feel helpless now we're literally at the control of our corrupt government (who I may add, I apologise for voting in).
