I’m getting a few texts from mates who support rival teams - mainly City and Liverpool. All very smug and righteous

Any tips for dealing with them?

Remind the City fans who their owners are and remind Liverpool fans why English football was suspended from European competitons from 1985-1990.

While rival fans are bantering and having a laugh, I think the League and other teams would be worried as this sets a dangerous precedent.

What happens the next time an oil monarchy decides to butcher a journalist? What happens if an American billionaire owner gets denounced in the #metoo movement? Are we going to routinely obliterate century old clubs because of their owners?

While any person responsible of any wrong doing should be punished according to the law, their businesses that are part of national heritage and local culture should be protected. I think we might find more support from the League and other teams that we think, they must be nervous now.

Today it’s Russia and Chelsea, tomorrow it could be anyone.

Saw the club say that they will fulfill the required matches today against Norwich and West Ham... so what does that mean for the matches this weekend? Are they in jeopardy? I've also heard that we lose points if Chelsea go into administration and I can't help but think HOW THE ACTUAL f**k ARE YOU GONNA PUNISH CHELSEA MORE FOR SOMETHING THE CLUB HAS LITERALLY ZERO TO DO WITH>!?!?!?!?!>!!>??!?!

No, what will happen in the examples you have quoted is that Chelsea will be blamed for all of them

If Roman didn't love Chelsea, the gov would have put him in a position to retaliate by crippling the club. There is no incentive for him to do anything with it any more. Why not make a bunch of british employees jobless, damage the premier league value and the general football economy then get a pat on the back and some reimbursement from Putin?

Three couldn't make a statement without advertising themselves at the same time "we are offering connectivity packages to all Ukrainians arriving in the UK, and those in Ukraine"

Nothing like turning human misery into a marketing tool.

Tell them they're despicable POS for gloating off the back of a war.

And that goes for anyone with no exception, I won't be engaging with anyone (forums, reddit or real life) who do it from the moment I see it onwards.

I really don't get why the club and it's fans have to be punished in such barbaric way. Let RA sell the club and the next second you freeze all the money coming from this business and do whatever you want to do with it. In the end it is all about his money, let the club run it's course w/o RA, do not destroy it. What about his yachts and his private jets? Will the Government destroy those by blowing up the houses and sinking the yachts?

I would understand if Roman was the only dirty owner in the PL, but what about others? What about the Arabs? A war must start in that part of the world for the Government to act against City and Newcastle?

This is my thinking as well... How are you going to screw over so many people who rely on Chelsea to live and survive.

Yes totally agree, especially as McDonald's in Russia is still paying it's staff despite closing all outlets.

For anyone who doubted we are the most hated club around and was all in our heads, you got ample proof about it now.

Jesus christ get a grip, its just tribal football, thats it.

This is only hurting the british people and not helping Ukrainians because Chelsea don't even generate profits for Roman. Virtue signaling gone wrong. The club need to show their accounts to the gov and convince them to allow us to keep generating revenue. None of it is going to Roman or the war.

Ah no call for using the Lord's name in vain mate.

Is indeed tribal football but don't believe it is outlandish to say a lot of football fans really dislike us. Whether it is jealousy or whatever reason, they simply do.

Hopefully those staff at Chelsea losing their jobs are going to be looked after.

We hate Spuds, would we want to see them vanish ? no...would we revel in their demise, yes.

I think a lot of their dumb fans aren't considering the potential loss of a rival, it's the rivalries which make football fun and exciting. In the short term they're just jizzing their pants that Chelsea is now in a government engineered mess, little do they understand it also doesn't boost the chances of their teams success as they're still sh*t with or without us.

Ask any Liverpool fans why they sang a song about the 1958 Munich Air Disaster.
