It's unfortunate that we can't keep up to date without reading all the attack pieces. Going to need thick skins for the next year or so folks. As well as the usual rags putting out stories, we can expect record breaking levels of abuse from other fans. I say what will be will be, and even if we somehow ended up at the bottom of the football pyramid as punishment, then so be it. We've already won every major trophy out there and I could quite enjoy seeing us work our way up and win every lower league trophy along the way to add to the collection. If we get a quick buyer or if we need to start from the bottom, nothing will stop me supporting the club. Edited March 11, 20224 yr by TokyoBlue

Plus the 15-16 season has me prepared for mediocrity, despite a bad season I was still able to enjoy moments like JT's equaliser vs Everton, Costa's late one vs Utd etc. I don't think we will be too screwed financially (finger's crossed) to be relegated, there are buyers lined up and I'm sure both Roman and the government want Chelsea to be sold quickly to ensure a healthy position.

If this isnt resolved by the end of the season, and the club are plunged into administration, we will start next season with a 9 point deduction. Ive seem some Chelsea crisis's over the years, this is completely next level. I was hoping for a good owner, but right now that looks a pipedream. Imagine if Tuchel quit, we could even hire another manager. On the bright side we'd only be bottom by the end of 3 games and still finish in the top four assuming we still have a squad and not had a fire sale.
March 11, 20224 yr Never a dull moment with Chelsea. Signing off for this day, and will wake to see what tomorrow brings. May common sense prevail
March 11, 20224 yr I've been a fan since 67 and supported the club throughout the good times, mediocre and bad times; I am not worried one bit about the health of the club. This moment of uncertainty will be short lived. It's not in the Govt's interest to be spending time and effort trying to run a football club it's hard enough running a country with a war going on in Europe. What am worried about is the nutbar in Russia if he decides to press the nuclear button. 'Chelsea till I die' just might become a reality. The longer the sanctions go on, the longer the war in the Ukraine goes on, the more frustrated he will become, so those of you spending time worried about a points deduction or being relegated, neither of which will happen, you might want to consider spending the time digging a shelter in your back yard, or considering those poor f**kers in Ukraine getting shelled every day, because we could well be next. KTBFFH....
March 11, 20224 yr Does the gov target us ? Of course not. We are just a football team who happen to be an asset of Roman. Chelsea is important for us but in the end of day it is just a sport/entertainment business. Not sure what is the debate here. However, freezing people asset is an extremely complicated process. If the asset is just financial paper, it is easy but it is a company, it is whole another story. Not allowing chelsea to sell ticket n stuff is the same as sending us to the ground.
March 11, 20224 yr "Abramovich was targeted because the government’s Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation suspected that a steel company he had effective control of, Evraz plc, supplied steel to the Russian military to produce tanks" Excerpt above from Guardian article. Really gets me headscratching. UK.... ARMS..... SAUDI..... YEMEN. All I'm saying.
March 11, 20224 yr One thing for sure is that we are finished as a top level club once we are sold. Roman is the only billionaire sports owner individual that runs the club in debt. Everyone else is part of a royal family conglomerate with unlimited money e.g. Abu Dhabi, Qatar, etc. So unless we get one of those, this era is well and truly over as a new owner will have to spend billions to acquire the club's first (no one has actually done that yet in football), and then reverse the current financial structure to be profitable and then expect to make their billions back at some point. It's actually not a good business decision. We are done....

Following a long civil war, The Yemeni president requested Saudi (and international) intervention. Saudi led a Arab coalition, but the wider international community also supported the efforts with arms sales and intelligence. That is very different to a Russian Government who have invaded Ukraine, in an unprovoked bid to take-over/ destroy the country.

Just because we are not owned by a billionaire / family, does not mean we are "finished as a top level club". Liverpool are a top level club who are challenging on all fronts, and that has been achieved despite the club remaining in hundreds of millions of debt.

How Liverpool are run is completely different to Chelsea. Once Chelsea are brought out, we will have to run the same way Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd are run. The only difference is our new owner would've had to pay over £3bn to buy us. The situation we are in now is the costliest project for any billionaire. Roman of 2003 would think twice about buying Chelsea at its current value and situation today. Certainly think twice about pumping money into the club after how much has been spent to buy it and wipe off debts. We've had 20 years of joy under him and are now extremely unlucky at how things have panned out. If we can somehow keep the current playing staff we will be fine. Should we need to sell, them yeah it's over.

I'm still chuffed I got to watch us win the FA Cup in 1997. Thought that was as good as it was going to get at the time!
March 11, 20224 yr On Sunday we should all cover up the ‘3’ logo on our shirts. The spineless tossers deserve zero coverage.

Should we need to sell, them yeah it's over. First of all CFC fans regardless of where we are scattered around the world are more or less in the same boat, with the more or less the same feelings of these recent events that have fallen at the doorstep of the club and its owner...as they say 'sh*t happens'. At some point I'm sure Roman would have sold the club; got hit by a bus, or Rolls in his case, and the club would have had to move on with new owners, and a new way of running the club. I am pretty sure that whoever takes over will have a far different view and mindset that Roman had, especially from pissing away money on bad manager choices, bad centre forwards and an inflated squad of about 60 players, half of which are on out on loan because they are average, or were simply vanity buys at the time because they had one good season somewhere. I for one am not going to be missing that part of how the club was managed. I am sure the new owners will continue with the Academy, trim the number players and I'm sure they won't be pissing away money on centre forwards who don't want to be at the club. We have a good manager who has handled this situation like a statesman, while the Board members such as Buck hide behind close doors; a great first team squad, regardless of whether Rudiger leaves. Liverpool were virtually bankrupt when they were taken over, and yes they struggled for a few seasons but with good management, good scouting and a few million splashed here and there they have built a title winning squad. And even if we end up with some strange consortium or brothers Grimm, aka Man Utd, we will be fine. We won't get relegated, we won't go bankrupt and even if we do, so what? We've been there before. The life of a football club is full of ups and downs, why should we be any different? As I said in my previous post, I'd be more worried about that twat in Russia getting up on the wrong side of the bed and deciding to start WW3 than whether CFC survive this mini crisis. I think what has happened here is that the Govt has unwittingly opened up a whole can of worms. It would not surprise me if they start looking deeper into other clubs and how the wealth of the owners was accumulated, or their associations to different regimes across the globe. It is also a generation of the rich clubs against the poor, and the poor clubs just might shout loud enough to get salary caps etc in place to level up the playing field. And hey, you never know the new owners just might bring Greyhound racing back for the extra revenue 😂

It's called protecting the brand. Although sponsors bring in money to the club, sponsorship logos have ruined the look of the shirts over the years. I for one can do without seeing them i get enough ads thrown at me every time i get on a computer or turn on a TV.

March 11, 20224 yr In a couple of seasons time we could actually sing our song "we've won it all" when it would actually be true, when we add the lower division titles to our cabinet. "National league champions ,you'll never sing that"
March 11, 20224 yr Without external fund can we compete for top title ? The answer is a big no. Everyone know we have bridge probelm. For us to compete we need a stadium at least twice as big.

For us to compete we need a stadium at least twice as big. As long as we aren't splashing the cash, and utilise our impressive youth setup we would save a LOT of money and could easily become self sufficient, also assuming we retain our sponsorship deals. We also don't need a 85k+ seater stadium, if we could extend our current one to 50k+ it would be fine, selling tickets isn't anywhere near the biggest money maker and even now our ground isn't THAT bad. We just need the club to be sold to a new owner ASAP. I just hope that happens before we're run into the ground and lose everything.
March 11, 20224 yr Fed up of all the speculation, especially from our garbage media. It’s a given there is frantic discussions going on in the boardroom at government and global levels regarding Chelsea Fc. As I can’t influence anything, I’m sitting back waiting for the outcome. As I say to my lads don’t worry we’re Chelsea.
