If Nike walk away good riddance only one decent kit since they took over from adidas ( that stunning one off Fa Cup shirt), get back on track and get going again.

Right to may main quandary, if Roman sells for 2.5 Billion, the new owners acquire the club?, and the proceeds go actually where, if this shady 'Barrow boy' Goverment decide where it goes, that is just Totalitarian bollocks, as far as Russia are concerned are we not supplying arms to their enemy, historically the break up of the old Soviet union is the Root cause of all this, also i want to see concrete evidence Roman has supplied directly to the conflict,  i would of thought the enemies Roman has been to court over disputes with, and the huge monies spent on trying to find him guilty of something hasn't exactly gone against him, he wants to use his billions to sue our government on trumped up charges, and sue them for stealing his rightful property, not a government deciding his money was illegal made, and they feel good for doing actually f**k all to help Ukraine, just a pretence of we would but our hands are tied, When Ukraine falls to the Russians then what........

BTW , I am completely in total unity with Ukraine, but this just seems like they have to be seen to do something, the UK didn't mind when Russian money helped to transform the capital, and the Tories taking huge donations to their sham ridden government....

Money can and should go to the huge refugee camps in Poland and other places outside Ukraine.

I still don’t understand whether Roman was planning to keep any of the money before the sanctions. I know he wasn’t asking for his loans back but whether he was going to keep any of it is unclear in my mind.

I was thinking about it, we are one of very few clubs in Europe to have won what we've won. There are probably about 10 other clubs who have done more, if that. We really were fortunate to have been taken over and had the success we did. Not even PSG have managed to achieve a single CL trophy yet, but we have 2, and came close a couple more times to getting our hands on the trophy. Considering the competition in the PL and Europe during our successful periods, we have done amazing. It's a privilege to have experienced all that success and those trophies.

It ain't over yet buddy.😉

As reported by @Lawton_Times , Raine, who are looking after the sale, have paused the process for 24 to 48 hours - probably to seek some clarity from government. Expectation remains process will restart after that. No change in main bidders wanting to push ahead #cfc

This seems positive and hopefully next week, we’ll see more action regarding bids being accepted and the process moving forward.

There's nothing wrong with Nike discussing if they want to stop sponsoring us. That's normal, Trivago just did the same thing and came to a conclusion to stand by us.

So hold off on the "F*** OFF NIKE" until they announce they will stop sponsoring us.

I'm going to Tweet and call Three and ask them how I cancel my contract, I probably won't as it'll be too much but if every Chelsea fan does this it'll really pi** them off!

Actually it doesn't take the entire fanbase canceling their contract to piss them off.

It only takes about a 10% drop in subscription to ring the alarm bells

Club have approached the government to ease the restrictions, sounds like we won't survive for long if they don't allow revenue in.

Just looked and Nick Candy doesn't seem like he has the funds on his own to buy Chelsea.  Listed as being worth 1.5 billion.

If he wanted to do it I think he'd have to head up a consortium.

Klopp says what the government have done is right. All anyone gives a sh*t about is getting rid of CFC. Outside our own fan base absolutely nobody wants us to survive.

As long as we can form a new Chelsea and take 6'000 fans to away games at the likes of Tunbridge Angels and wreck the places.

The government should sanction Roman but the manner of execution is not well thought out.

It should have stopped at freezing Roman's involvement. The government need to realize that Chelsea FC is not a money laundering mechanism to Roman. That is where I see the problem lies and why they're stopping cashflow

It's called protecting the brand.   Although sponsors bring in money to the club, sponsorship logos have ruined the look of the shirts over the years. I for one can do without seeing them i get enough ads thrown at me every time i get on a computer or turn on a TV.

Yea but protecting the brand against what. Our owner is selling and at the moment the government is preventing the sale. Hardly toxic.

Seems like this option is under consideration to allow the club to sell tickets:

Chelsea could be allowed to sell tickets if profits donated to Ukraine humanitarian aid | Evening Standard

I assume same logic could be applied to merchandise too and would at least raise money to pay wages etc.

How does that help the club though? Apparently we cannot operate like this for long before entering administration and then worse. Several sources say we cannot pay our monthly wage bill as things stand.

That is such an arbitrary condition. "You can only sustain yourself as a business if you virtue signal" How about just make sure the funds get used on the club and can't be used for any purposes like funding the war which is what they are worried about.

Interesting tweet. Seems Bhoely might be the safest option. Seems to have a track record of winning and putting that first rather than profits etc.

Yeah barely read any of that. People like that are not even human, spreading their biased and ill-informed hate to cause my hatred and violence.

Do the world a favor and stop typing your drivel Mr "journalist". If you feel so strongly about things how about taking a trip to Ukraine and helping repel those Russians you claim to oppose.

No? Thought not.

In a couple of seasons time we could actually sing our song "we've won it all" when it would actually be true, when we add the lower division titles to our cabinet.

"National league champions ,you'll never sing that"

That's the spirit. Look at Rangers, after being relegated to the bottom tier of Scottish football, they won every title on the way back up. No other club will do that.

Fighting administration, done that

Being relegated, done that (three times)

Playing in empty stadium, done that.

Being under a transfer embargo, done that.

No money to pay players or staff, Done that

Being hated by everyone, Still Doing that.

Winning it all DONE THAT

And that’s on top of the numerous firsts, and the countless achievements that, no matter how hard they try, they can’t take away from us. They cannot rewrite our 117 years of history.

f**k ‘em all.
