March 11, 20224 yr Its just got worse for us, hopefully just a temporary action took against us https://www.skysports.com
March 11, 20224 yr Now before I go any further I totally deplore the actions of Putin and his army in the Ukraine and my heart goes out to all the innocent brave people of the Ukraine. I feel that at the moment in time chanting Romans name at matches, and I appreciate all he's done for Chelsea fc, should stop. Sorry that's how I feel. But how is it that Roman and Chelsea fc (its our club too) are being kicked to death but the UK government carry on buying oil and gas from Russia till at least the end of the year. Surely the government is funding Putins war machine against the innocent of the Ukraine

March 11, 20224 yr Do you know the more this unravels the more I genuinely believe the Government haven’t thought through how this will play out. Very very soon the Directors will be faced with the dilemma should they actually place the cub in administration or come to that full insolvency . Now I don’t doubt for one second administration would actually work that is if the CFC pitch owners are prepared to grant a leases to the new entity but Insolvency is a who different kettle of fish. Irrespective if all the directors resigned who would take the club forward? If you look at the wording of the special license it’s no wonder the bank are jittery, it’s no wonder sponsors are considering their options but again if the club went into administration the costs of trading would fall on HM Government but even then at this point in time it would not surprise me for one second if RA just refused to sell . What then ? If you add the support and administration staff to the numbers of business that make a decent wedge each home game the consequences and kncok on will impact on thousands of people’s livelihoods. If RA just said now and the club was unable to fulfil the fixtures because of political intervention no matter how justified then that potentially will be another minefield

It looks as if Nike are going to back us now anyway, unlike Three who should be forever grateful we had that ugly 3 logo on our historic champions league shirts.

March 11, 20224 yr @forbzy About us applying to amend the license to sell and about 5 bidders, one named being Candy https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2022/3/11/22973003/uk-government-open-to-amending-licence-to-allow-sale-of-chelsea-football-club

Government could claim is not on them all they like but we know who the ultras would target.

The government would presumably handle the transaction and either freeze or donate the money received. In that case does Roman's team still have to agree to the sale? Because they would do so knowing that none of the proceeds would go to him or his company presumably. raine would agree to sell to them, sign documents etc etc and funds would i suspect, be transferred to govt, or to a fund se up by govt for ukraine

I suspect if he's going all in with him (and the investors he's fronting), it's because they're either the bidder the club is trying to butter up or they're at the most advanced stage. Not questioning his accuracy on his story just find it odd that he is writing glowing pieces on only this group and making negative remarks on the other parties interested.

March 11, 20224 yr If the bank account is frozen, how can the club fulfil the fixture on Sunday. Can't pay stewards, the police etc... we'd be asking people like that to take it on trust that we'd be able to pay them at some point in the future.......

March 11, 20224 yr Barclay's can do one. As if they needed to freeze the account? Just make sure the ins and outs are normal expenses.
March 11, 20224 yr I’m pissed off right now. Are they really trying to liquidate us or something? How can we pay our staff, players etc. if we don’t have access to our bank accounts? This is a brain dead government who doesn’t think things through. First we are not allowed to generate any kind of income NOW we cannot even access our bank accounts?? According to the article, Chelsea think the account will be unfrozen shortly. It sounds like they are working to ensure that Roman doesn't get any money from the club truly. I think as long as Chelsea will be able to prove that no money is going to RA, then things will be able to become operational which will then expedite the sale of the club. Of course, that is just my extensive knowledge in UK government sanctions and how they apply to functioning football clubs owned by prominent Russians.

Surely we don't pay cash or check for services upfront? Don't they render services first then send us invoices? Granted some might be reluctant to render said services if they know our accounts are frozen, but I'll be shocked if our accounts remain suspended for a long time
March 11, 20224 yr Well all this excitement has certainly galvanised and got our support all passionate again roll on the bridge Sunday UTC
