Reece James

With the Everton lineup, I’d replace Kovacic with James and James with Azpi. Kante and James would both be encouraged to attack, but not at the same time. In other words, France with James as Kante’s Pogba.

Moving James is the one thing we absolutely shouldn't do, he's developing into a world class player in his position, let's leave him be.

Apparently had his car broken in to while he was doing charity work yesterday and had presents stolen that he was donating to another charity. There are really some scummy people in this world.

Blooming scousers get everywhere.

We’ve got a nice reliable back up in Dave defensively but we’ll lose so much in the attack.

He's past it, let's be honest. He isn't the same player anymore, this is a nightmare for us. Not just that, why is it always our youngsters who break through that get injuries like this? A knee injury is massive.

RLC starts to look amazing, out for a year, CHO starts to look amazing, knee injury, now it's happeend to James. I just don't understand it.

He’s obviously not peak Dave anymore but he hasn’t hit legless-Ivanovic levels just yet! You can always trust Dave!

Our youth is cursed

I don't understand how so many got injured just during training in the recent years... Though Azpilicueta is ready. I hope that Reece will not need any surgery, that would be a big blow.

This is a photo from today's training

Sad if true. Although we have Dave so this is not a disaster. Our squad has so much quality. We can't really complain about injuries. Liverpool is trashing opponents without a couple of their best players. No excuses.

That doesn't sound good.  Would be awful luck with RLC, Cho and Reece.  It doesn't sound quite that bad though.  Could be something as simple as inflammation and pressure.  Just hope to god it is not a tear.

IMO Reece is out on his own in comparison to the others you mention - I honestly believe, injuries aside, that this kid could genuinely be world class in time - he’s got it all and bags of good ‘bad’ attitude - I bet he hates losing at anything.

He’s a players player, he’s the guy you want to be playing when you play, you implicitly trust him to manage his game and produce at the highest level - If he’s out at any time, it’s more than just the game he plays that will be missed - let’s hope this problem isn’t too serious ?!

I'm having serious doubts about us even making top 4 at this point. The injuries are crippling us and they are only getting worse.

Unless our rivals start picking up injuries in key areas like we are, then I just don't see how we will be able to keep up with them.

I tend to agree.  We're a team that still hasn't fielded our best 11, or beyond that, really figured out our best system.  Also really struggling by results, and chances created, against top half teams.

We're fortunate the table is so tight, but I haven't seen enough to suggest we'd be in the top four yet.  There was a brief moment against Shef Utd and Leeds, but that might be papering over the cracks.

One of our best players this season. Be a real blow if he is out. Along with Dave we also have Rudiger who can play right back and would offer us a more offensive option than dave, plus another threat/defender of set plays. I would sooner go with that given Mounts corners and Ziyechs free kicks.

Latest is he’s been carrying a know for the last few games, it isn’t as bad as feared, won’t need surgery and he’ll likely just miss the next two games. Everyone can chill the f**k out now.

Same, I was full of optimism a few weeks ago, the injury situation has just sh*t the bed completely that I can't help but be realistic here. We aren't going to win many games with Werner and Havertz out wide, and I don't trust Pulisic to stay fit.

Reece James just seals it for me, no luck. It'll be Kante next.

But there is... Do Liverpool have Salah, Mane and Jota injured?

If I could swap our defenders getting injured for our attackers I would any day, so would anyone. Having your creative and attacking players injured is a nightmare, you can at least score your way out of trouble if your defenders are injured, hence why Liverpool are still doing fine. If Liverpool lost Salah and Mane they would be f**ked. How's that different from us losing Pulisic and Ziyech?

I think this season we need to resist overreacting either way, look at United a few weeks ago compared to now for example.

Bar Liverpool we all appear to be flicking from good moments to bad moments (and back) quicker than Jean from Eastenders.

I know what you mean, it's a very tight season. But I'm not even focusing on other teams, just ours. I'm just sick to death of key players getting injured.

We'll only have 1 right back for who knows how long then. Azpi was Mr Reliable but that was in a normal season, not sure how long he can play when it's a game every 3-4 days.
