For a home game against Brighton, that midfield is perfect. Ampadu for Barkley will make more sense if its an away game. The reason why we struggle to score most times against small teams that pack the bus is because most of our starting midfielders (Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho) can't consistently create chance or score goals. If we start a home game against any average team with at least two of the above players starting in the midfield or even Ampadu included, Hazard will have to be at his best for us to get a win.
I think Sarri should find a way to include Willian in our midfield options so CHO can have more game time on the wing. A midfield of Willian, RLC and Jorginho/Kante will be more creative and adventurous than any midfield selection we have ever tried this season.

Willian would be much better in the middle than out wide I agree.

Sarri said that he has too many wingers currently for CHO to play and that he (CHO) prefers to play on the left and cut-in (where Haz obv plays) but the wingers tend to swap positions during the game and CHO has looked good on both sides of the pitch so I'm not quite sure what his argument is here.... either way, I HOPE to see CHO's name in the starting line-up ? .... wishful thinking, I know.

I reckon we will get 1 or 2 penalty decisions against us this game, payback for got away with some on Sunday. Every game after that City beat up should be must win, yet I never got the feeling the manager and players all that bothered in several of these games. Just like Sunday, if Sarri was serious about win, should put Hazard on at HT instead of conceding a goal first, not going to waste time talking about his team selections. Hoping for a good win, but anything is possible, even a 3:0 to Brighton.

Just need a cardboard cut out of Sarri really.

only problem is the cardboard cut out wouldn't be able to chew on a cigarette, apart from that the cut out  will be able to motivate the team, play better football, have better tactics and pick a better team.

I feel like every time Chelsea play a must win game this season they somehow managed to mess it all up..

Just beat them, it's Brighton...

Sarri just said in his Pre-Match Press Conference that CHO will probably start

Still waiting for the moment that Sarri will play some fresh players!

We had that with Jose, Conte and now Sarri. Playing the same players which are disappointing with their performance every game without giving a chance to our youth players.

I really hope CHO and RLC will start both of them, we shouldn't be shocked if their performance will be disappointing as well because we all must have patience with their improvement. They need minutes, they need experience.

Like most of us above said, every game is a must win for us because top 4 is a possible achievement for us.

Alonso out injured and Sarri "hints" Callum will start.

Hopefully he bangs in a hat trick.

So that solves the left-back mystery, Emerson to start.

Now just the Barkley or Kovacic mystery to keep us gripped.

Win tomorrow and we go fourth, level on points with third and two points clear of Man Utd and Tottenham in 5th/6th... which usually means we are absolutely guaranteed to f**k it up.

Come on boys, make it count!

If Sarri wants our somewhat unhappy home crowd back on side I would suggest it be smart to go with Kante, Barkley and RLC.

That with no Alonso, and a front 3 of Giroud, CHO and Eden and you can be pretty sure of a happy homebase.

I hope we can be positive in the ground before the game and stay positive during the game if possible. With a team lineup that most want, hopefully it will be a good night.

These guys are only human and aren’t deliberately trying to ruin things. I see a different side to these guys away from the pitch and they really appreciate our support.

Match day. Please play the best,in form players, regardless of age.The away fans had enough on Sunday,i dont blame them.Too slow and talk about sloppy passing.Kante is the best defenceive midfielder in Europe,CHO and RLC are ready and should get a run.Your stubborness will cost you.....COME ON YOU BLUES !

Hoping for:

Kepa

Dave - Rudi - Christensen - Emerson

Kante - Kovacic - RLC

CHO - Giroud - Hazard

I'm intrigued what sort of reception Sarri is going to receive from the home crowd tonight. The game went on general sale so the atmosphere could be a bit more subdued anyway.

If the usual suspects get given starts ahead of RLC and CHO then I can still imagine there not be whole lot of patience should we start the game slowly again.

We really need to start scoring in the first half of games and being far more aggressive in attacking teams in the opening 20 minutes.

Do you work for the club or with the players? I’m not trying to be cheeky, genuinely just curious if that’s what you meant or if I’ve picked up what you’ve written wrong...

If RLC, Christensen and CHO start, I’m hoping for a 6-0 win. CHO with a perfect hat trick. Ruben with one long range screamer and a late arrival in to the box ala Frank type goal & then Christensen with a bullet header JT style to cap off a solid display ?
