We conceded the same amount of goals even after being spanked by City 6-0, how do you conclude their back 4 is better?

RLC has better numbers than Alli this season in less minutes and Trippier has been awful this year.

Trippier and Alli are the definition of overrated.  I can see why plenty of Chelsea fans think highly of Alli, though, as he just seems to score against us regularly.  Trippier just had a stellar WC and that's about all he's done.  Well-taken shot to slot past Lloris this season though :laugh2:

I agree about Alli. I am not overly impressed with him. Personally I think the likes of Christensen, Son, and Sissoko have been their best players the last half of the season. On the homegrown side Winks has also impressed when I have watched them.

That's just not how the market works though.  Even Man City, after destroying the league in Pep's second season, went out and signed Mahrez.  Now just last week Pep said he needs 4 new signings.  You have to bring in new players to compete and make the squad better - whether that is on the transfer market or promoting youth.  Tottenham did neither this season.

I know that's not how the market works, you always need to revamp the squad even if its 1 or 2 players. If Pochettino doesn't want to sign anyone then that's on him. Spurs without making a signing are still in a better place than Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd and they finished 4th scraping into the champions league. Losing 13 league games is actually awful for them.

Right, so if they would have brought in just 1 or 2 players to revamp the squad, maybe they wouldn't have lost 13 games.  They finished right where they always do, which is to say they don't win the league and finish in a CL spot.  Should they have finished in 3rd ahead of us?  Probably.  But to say that there should have been some distance between them in 3rd and whoever finishes 4th - I don't see it.

If anything, I would argue that they aren't in that great of a place without making signings.  As you mentioned before, we were a club in transition this season and had plenty of struggles just like Spurs did, but we still managed to finish ahead of them.  What does that say about our squad in comparison?

Sure, they made the CL final and might win it, but if anyone is familiar with a flash in the pan CL run, it's Chelsea.

has that f**king tramp left yet, the players loathe him.

Question Hazard or Sarri, you decide

One of them leaving is not dependent on the other one leaving, you do realize?

If anything Sarri leaving makes hazards decision even easier. He just had his best ever season under Sarri.

After the world cup I was so impressed with Trippier I felt he should easily be the best RB in the world. But this season, he has been so bad. Regarding Alli, people hype him because he always brings his A game when Tottenham is playing against us. He and Rose were simply too bad in there champions league games, they were just fortunate Son and Moura are having one of there best season. Pochettino will never in his right mind play Alli over RLC, he just doesn't have a choice when the bench is so bad.

Yeah probably.  But regardless, the two of them are not looking at each other and saying "If you're out, I'm out".

How lovely to call our manager a f**king tramp :face_palm:  And how do you know the players loathe him, have you talked to each of them personally?

Where do they come from? :laugh2:

Does no one at the club realise if an outfit like Juve are desperate to buy out his contract then he's probably a good option going forward? We overachieved so much last season while transitioning our play to simply let him leave with a whimper just makes it look like we don't have a clue what we're doing.

If there is any truth in this and we let him leave without any fuss we pretty well know that the board were looking to get rid of him. If the board values him surely they would put up some resistance to any moves for him?

No. But that's not my point.

I assumed your post meant that if Sarri left that it made Hazard’s decision to leave easier?  That’s just a coincidence.

I said, if anything....meaning if Sarri being sacked had any impact on hazard going, it would be to make it more likely, not less. It doesn't mean there would be an impact, because for me hazard is out of the door.

It was in response to a bellend suggesting if Sarri left hazard would stay and that all the players hate him.

“Chelsea manager Sarri had a meeting in London with Juventus sports director.”

This was tweeted by Tancredi Palmeri. Very interesting if true.

I might not  be Sarri's greatest fan, but I wouldn't go to that abuse, no one knows if the players loathe him, and to be fair to Sarri, he's done what was expected of him, and good on him for that.
