Isn't the 4th team required to play a qualification tie during the August? Probably not what we need to get ready for another long season, so I expect us to field a decent team, and I'm even not going to talk about the bragging right of finishing above Spurs.

The only benefit of coming 3rd now is the pride of finishing a place higher and something like £1m more in prize money

Not bothered by this match. Thank god we won last weekend, Leicester are on better form than us at the moment. Finish 3rd is preferable but it's not a big deal. Just hope we dont pick any injuries and Sarri rests players.

This ongoing experiment with Azpi at centre back could well be a look at how to get Dave in the line up if James is our rightback next season ?

Interesting lineup, surprised Kovacic isn't starting, but a chance for Barkley to prove himself in a more attacking lineup. 

Ampadu seems to be perpetually injured.

It's disgusting the way he's been treated. Chelsea-captain and won everything and the club and yet the manager didn't speak to him once even.

I don't think it'll ever work, how many centre backs are 5'10? Under Conte it was a bit different, with just him and Luiz he'll be forced to make a lot of Ariel challenges, they'll always want to plant a big man on him to score goals. 

Well done Guehi, would be nice to see him get on... wouldn't have minded Gilmour, Redwan or McEachran on bench to maybe take pressure off some players as game goes on.

The one that comes to mind is Fabio Cannavaro ... 5'9½" ... he was pretty good despite being short for a centre back !

Good point, although I'm afraid he's a rare exception. 

I don't know, I hope I'm wrong but I can't see Azpi being successful as a centreback in a back 4.

I remember he was pretty strong in the air under Conte after a lot of us were worried about that. He’s got a good standing leap and he’s stronger than he looks. 

Hope Vardy has an off day because we have no pace in defence.

Agreed. I guess Sarri has written him off and is showing us plan C for the final.
