Most of my mates are united fans. They are just envious we have a club that is getting things done.

Real football fans don't moan about other owners splashing cash. They moan about their own owner when they don't!

It is rather quiet on the transfer front of other clubs, isn't it. Still, well over a month to go yet, plenty of moaning time

According to the Guardian:

Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori are self-isolating after returning from their holiday to Mykonos, and four other players are believed to be staying away from the training ground under Covid-19 guidelines.

They would only self-isolate coming from Greece if they felt any symptoms and were waiting for the test result or if they were positive (there is no requirement of self-isolation if you come back from Greece). When did they come back? I thought that the players had already started training this week.

If the situation is this bad in Mykonos, why isn't the whole place on lockdown?

Isn't it the foreigners bringing to Greece? Greece had one of the best response to covid-19 until foreigners started showing up again.

Yes, Greece had it well under control. It is the tourists, especially the younger ones, that are getting it by not wearing face masks and not keeping the distance while going out at night.

Maybe they were exposed to another person who later tested positive? Maybe they changed flights in Paris/Amsterdam and didn’t realise they’d be required to quarantine? f**k knows, I’m just brainstorming here. I still find it weird there’s not proper news about this at all.

Yes, it is weird that there are no news about this when we know that Pogba is positive. Maybe they are just waiting for the results of the test. Who knows! And this Saturday there's a friendly, whether they are in the team or not it will be telling.

Really can’t get my head round the need to galavant abroad in the midst of a world wide pandemic, and also why the club let them!! The club should of laid down law at end of season to say no foreign holidays for this summer. Remember all those idiots rushing back from Spain and France the other week moaning like f**k about having to quarantine, well you were warned and if you insist in booking your precious little holiday during a pandemic then its your own fault.

Nonsense. They've got essentially a 2 week break in-between seasons. Let them have a holiday.

What does it even matter. For a professional footballer it's basically a very weak flu.

No one said not have a holiday, just for once stay at home, like the vast majority have a staycation, I presume your attitude like many youngsters is it doesn’t kill people like us so who gives a f**k, yes it might be like a flu to a pro footballer but now they aren’t available to train properly with season approaching

We don't really know people's story really do we? For example, the women being shammed on Facebook for heading to Italy could have been an NHS worker who desperately needed a mental reset after working her arse off during the peak of the virus (and may have a similar workload again). She could be a supermarket worker who did 14 hours a day to keep us fed.

I do however agree with the quarentine thing, people should have gone knowing the risk's, however I've always been very pro own your own risk's and your own choices, in my opinion the world would be a much better place if more did that.

Agree completely. A break (and holiday), even 2 weeks, might be essential for the mental health of some.

They are millionaire footballers, do you think they want a holiday in the lake district?

I'd rather they come back eager to play. Mental fatigue is huge at this level.

Problem is some of them can’t play now due to quarantine, and if they can’t sacrifice a foreign  holiday for one year, f**k me, us lot have sacrificed a lot in the last few months, and sadly some in  the NHS with their lives, just can’t see why they had to go abroad, the vast majority of us have for gone our jolly’s abroad

Yep, who would want to go to Mykonos when you can go to Blackpool... I mean, come on! Outrageous! 😉

Greece does not have quarantine on return, so they chose well. It is what they do there that increases or not the risk. If they've been going out to nightclubs and got inside packed bars, etc the risk of getting it increases. I have been to Spain, flew two days before the quarantine rule was announced, to visit my parents and in-laws and did not meet with any friend or other family. I restricted my activity to outdoor places, wore a mask at all times when outside (as it is compulsory) except when eating/drinking, and only sat in terraces where tables were placed keeping with the distance rules. I have finished this week the self-isolation and feel alright, my parents and in-laws are also fine after our visit. In summary, what you do influences the chance of picking the virus up or not. You can go to Mykonos and not come back with the virus.

And for a professional footballer's 75-year old grandmother it is a possible death sentence when they pop round to drop off the bottle of Retsina they brought back for her.

When will people start taking this f**king thing seriously.
