Would it be wrong to ask for James to come on at halftime? Never going to happen but James coming into the side can't come quick enough, he doesn't contribute enough in attack. 

 

A decent first 20 minutes, but we lost our way for the rest of the half. We still look a threat now and again, but I'm not liking how often we give the ball away so cheaply and how often Watford players are running 1v1 against our defenders. They need a bit of protection.

We have looked in control just a shame it’s only 1-0! We need to be careful here 

It's funny how AS SOON AS Emerson got back, you notice how Azpili isn't playing well. With Alonso there Azpi has been looking really solid.

Not so sure ... Watford did an awful amount of running and pressing in that half ... doubt they can keep that up, and when they fall off I think we will take full advantage !

Was just going to post something similar. Twice in the first half he had opportunities to slice a simple enough ball through and massively over hit both. His passing in other areas of the pitch seems fine.

Funny game this, we definitely need a second. Watford closed us down quite well at stages and at times we played it around in the box a bit too much for my liking.

Well taken goal though feel their keeper should have done better. 

Would like to see it bit more form Willian going forward yet generally feel we are playing ok though need a second, IMO.

Same here.

Pulisic always seem to look to make that early runs whenever there's a change of possession, but no one seems to see it yet.

 

1-0 is a dangerous score but even more so with us as you know at some stage our sloppy passing will give them chances.

We need to get a decent lead by the 80th minute or we could drop points here.

Can't remember Kepa having to make a save either.

I wonder if Azpilicueta is our worst passer, kinda dangerous as a defender when you missplace over 50% over your forward passes..

In complete control, we really should be killing off games like this, some poor decision making in the final 3rd, and Foster having the game of his season. 

Jorginho has been fantastic. 

Azpilicueta needs to pull his finger out, he's played some truly awful passes.

To be fair, Emerson backed off ala Luiz from Deulofeu in to the box where he zipped the ball just past the post. If that was Alonso or Azpi you can guarantee it woulda been mentioned on here.

Nah I wouldn't describe it like that, Emerson got stuck in many times in the first half he was sliding a lot.

Kovacic 78 touches in the 1st half.

Emerson owes Zouma big time.

Not really, he's not struggling defensively like he was earlier in the season, he's just giving the ball away even when he has acres and acres of space and time. Really poor from the captain, I do actually like Azpilicueta's crosses but he doesn't have the attacking instincts that James has, James rushes upfield with the ball. There was a moment where Azpiliceuta had the ball and lots of space to run on to but he decided to slow down and wait for everyone else to move up, James would never have done that. 

I could be seriously wrong here and eat my words but I think James is the better alternative already, I want to see him play more.
