December 4, 20196 yr So my dad gets to come back to the Bridge after that sh*t show on Saturday. We had a blast. We sat in the... wait for it.... The Shed End tonight... Was good talking football all week with everyone, and everyone we met was incredibly friendly. Brilliant time... going home tomorrow.

Willian is much better off it though. Pulisic is a player that excel when he touches the ball more, a lot more. Put the ball in his feet, let him run against the defense, get yourself in an open space and he'll find you. You need to keep feeding him and he'll come alive. If you don't, he goes cold.

With all that possession and all those chances it really did look like one of those games where Villa would snatch a late, undeserved equaliser and every time they lofted a ball into our box, i feared the worst. But we deserved that win. Good performance and we should have won by a lot more. Don't think any of our boys played badly although hard to pick a MOTM as there were a lot of 7/10. Would probably go for Kante but good display by all tonight and I personally thought Christensen had a very good game. Actually Kante is a fine shout. Typical 90 minutes from him. Totally under stated and entirely reliable every time he is involved. I still prefer him to Jorginho in that role regardless of how much Jorginho has improved this season. I can't really name a MOTM myself, this victory was the definition of a team effort.

December 5, 20196 yr Glad of the win. Gets us back on track. Post again later. Off to work soon, Early start today. Blue is the colour.
December 5, 20196 yr 3 points. Minimum requirement met. Credit to Tom Heaton. He had a really good game capped off by a superb save form Willian's free kick. That is where my praise for Villa ends. A 2-1 win is travesty as this was the most one sided 2-1 you are ever likely to see. Aside from Heaton Villa were terrible. I had no concern when they came forward even with our defense. They scored, by fluke, and their defense had even more holes in it than our own! How many times did we see our attacking players with heads in their hands because "omg I cannot believe I missed that" or "omg I cannot believe i picked the wrong pass" etc etc. Go on about our defense all you want, they give you plenty of reasons too. Our attackers though put some flipping work in to your finishing. That was abysmal to watch. Really pitiful from every one of them. Capped of by Pulisic body blocking Tammy as he is about to shot. We should have comfortably outscored Liverpool today!
December 5, 20196 yr This type of teams, at the Bridge... it doesn't seem easy. Sheffield, Leicester, Palace, West Ham, now Villa. But we'll learn.

Yep, wobbly little c**t isn't he, it's no surprise that he's "the most fouled" when he keeps flinging himself to the deck like that and getting away with it.
December 5, 20196 yr ^^^^^ Love the interviews with Lamps. Spot on - he doesn't talk in cliches like most managers and he sees it pretty much how I see it as a fan. Would still give that defence extra training next few days though. When we have a one goal lead and teams attack us and win corners, my nerves are shot to pieces!

Tottenham level of cheating. If he does well enough at it there he can move up to Liverpool. 1 hour ago, coco said: Even his haircut is designed to add to the dramatic affect. December 5, 20196 yr Great goal from James's cross to Abraham's sublime finish. Looking at the highlights, it looks like the Willian show with him all over the place. Some interesting link up movement between Willian and Pulisic that bodes well for the future. Also liked Mount's goal, good build up and finish.

December 5, 20196 yr Took my Villa supporting mate and he was impressed with the atmosphere. This is the best it has been for many years. Absolutely brilliant to be part of it. The second half in particular saw Chelsea dominant to an almost embarrassing extent. Some good comments on here. Pulisic is no doubt great with the ball but needs to work harder off it. Mount had a much stronger second half. Tammy looked off to me but still scored and set up Mount’s goal – the sign of a class player. We should have scored more. Villa to their credit did not park the bus and did their best to make a game of it despite being out classed. I agree that Grealish goes to ground too much but we kept him out of the game. We got the tactics right in denying him space. The fact we gave him so much stick shows that we know he is a threat. Entertaining game we should have won 4.0. Their goal was a joke, great cross but what was Keppa doing just stood there like a statue. He is at his best stopping long range efforts and at his worse around the six-yard box. Kante made some great defensive tackles. UTC.
