Kai Havertz

Although I look at Tammy and how bad he is at heading in general and think that it's only useful if you know how to do it well. I think Barkley who was a snip at £15m could be sold to generate funds for a defender, he also 26 going on to 27 in 4 months time so it's a good time to sell.

I agree but I'm not entirely convinced we'll sell Barkley. Havertz is a bit of a waif, sometimes you need a bit of power as well. Ruben at his best gives you that but it remains to be seen whether he will get back to there. Not out of the question we keep Barkley next year and make a call between he and Ruben in 12 months time.

This is all assuming that deals happen. We've also got Anjorin and Gallagher in the mix in the future as well. I really like Gallagher, watching him this morning you could see he has something special about him.

Leverkusen director is just saving face and trying to get a better price. Ajax and Leipzig directors did the same thing before the Ziyech and Werner signings.

Most likely, they don’t have a lot of negotiating power right now given Chelsea is the only bidder. Only move they have would be to hold him for another year, but then Havertz may decide to force the issue.

This transfer is playing out far more in the media than we usually like.(John Stones) Our best deals(Werner & Ziyach)  are done without the distraction of the media and without rivals knowing our targets and normally only announced once a fee has been agreed. I can't help wondering if Leverkusen are trying to generate interest in the player themselves.

Disagree, Timo had a released clause. What the director said at that point was true.

Unbelievable the same club donate 75+ millions to Bilbao out of pure good will and generosity in return for nothing, now doesn't want to pay.

Leverkusen play Rangers in the EL 6.8. They are ahead in the tie so they probably progress. If they feature in the final Havertz is free to leave Leverkusen after 21.8. So he has a pretty short pre-season as the Prem starts already 12.9... I really hope we manage to get him and they drop out early on.

The point isn’t whether an offer has been made at the point of the director comments. The point is that the interest is clear and a transfer is imminent.

It’s just posturing, if Chelsea pays up, they will let him go. They are trying to use what little leverage they have.

Is Gallagher back with Chelsea, or is he going on loan, same age as Mount so hopefully he gets his chance, Maka likes him as well..

All loanees will return when the season ends and Gallagher’s stay will depend on how much he impresses Frank. I personally think he should go out on loan again to a PL team unless we sell some of the midfielders (Jorginho, Barkley etc)

Huh? Apart from the fact that this is a rumour,  I can't imagine any high level negotiating team not trying to find an edge. You don't passively lean back when discussing millions. The German negotiating team are likely doing the same.
