I begrudgingly accept the Lukaku loan as he is a cancer inside our club, but surley Ziyech is not like him. This is a dumb move.

I think it was £37m we paid for him. So still a loss but he hasn’t performed greatly here. I’d rather get a buy obligation for a loss than drag out loan after loan as we know that’s what Milan would want.

It’s a given that he’ll go to Italy and absolutely rip them to shreds, so I do see the angle of no buy obligation and see if you could sell him for more after the loan. He will have miles of space there, I think Serie A fits him perfectly.

A loan isn't even worth it unless there is an obligation. 

Ziyech won us a few points last season based off individual brilliance. (Palace, Watford, Spurs) so definitely worth keeping if the transfer deal doesn't make financial sense.

He will probably succeed especially with Giroud and Zlatan to aim for, but lmao he'll be a 30 yr old long ball winger you won't get more than 20m for him next year.  

20m would be the ceiling IF he knocks it out of the park next season.  Also a decent probability he doesn't and just becomes another Bakayoko.

He’s tailor made for Serie A. His passing and shooting ability combined with the amount of time he will have on the ball is a deadly situation. Nothing is impossible but I would quite shocked if he doesn’t perform there.

I'd be more inclined to offload Pulisic than Ziyech, but hey ho ... hopefully we have better wing options incoming ...

Pulisic should be the 1st player sold this summer imo

The problem is actually finding someone willing to buy a guy on 150K a week who's never had a good season and flopped in 2 different leagues.

Ziyech and Werner will have suitors but Pulisic is a tough sell.

I think this is a good move for him. He had wonderful start with us. He was probably our best player for a while before he got injured and then Tuchel took over and he really struggled to adapt to that RF role. 

Switch to 4-3-3 and Ziyech is your main man.

Could he stay for pre-season? That’s when he finds his best form!

Should he leave, I won't miss the moaning of some Cleaning Solution FC supporters how Chelsea are ruining Ziyech  Still, we can probably still use him, but FFS he needs to stay fit for a change.

Apparently we are willing to loan him but want a buy obligation built in to the deal, whereas Milan want only an option to buy as they are saving that spot for Reals Marco Acsenio.

We have all the leverage here because Ziyech's has proved his effectiveness last season. (Watford, Palace, Spurs, Malmo). He won us those needed points. 

Either provide an obligation or we keep him. Simple.

I find it hard to blame them too much. I imagine the bottom club in the PL get higher 'reward' money than most if not all the Italian teams.
