When you look at what we are competing against, these 3 just dont produce regularly enough for me. Havertz i can see hope, he has moments of real class, and I think eventually he will be great. Mount is our best forward by a country mile, but even his finishing and end product needs work. CHO i would also keep around, I think he will explode in the next year or 2. Ziyech was a beast vs the Spuds today. He easily could have had 2 asists. Werner also played very well.
January 6, 20224 yr Such a shame Werner was not able to convert that pass. What a ball that was. It was literally reminiscent of a ball Ziyech did for Werner last season against Sheffield United in that game we won 4-1 at the Bridge. Literally a carbon copy and ball fell for same player and same angle and Werner actually lofted it over the keeper's head but narrowly went wide. Top performance anyway. Needs to develop a bit of muscle, but very pleased by his performance.

He was class, and if we use that system more often, then im sure we will get the best out of him, but in that 343, I dont think he is particularly well suited.

You can apply that to every other player in the forward line. I reckon they will be better playing out wide, and their delivery will be key to getting the best out of Lukaku.

January 15, 20224 yr Just needs to be loaned out. No one will buy him at his age and wages. Not Chelsea quality.
January 15, 20224 yr Is it still too late for Morocco to call him? Not sure I can take being subjected to his performances too much more.

January 15, 20224 yr Really really bad. Some players just aren't suited to certain leagues, and I feel Ziyech is one of those players.
January 15, 20224 yr Really frustrates the hell out of me. I thought his crosses, through balls and quality on the ball would be his strong points when we bought him. But all I see is him over hitting simple through balls or wasting good scoring opportunities and then pulling that silly half smile face or just standing there with his hands on his head. Nothing more than show pony who for every 10 things he tries get 2 right and 8 wrong. Has been a serious let down IMO.

January 15, 20224 yr A compilation of Juan Mata's goals and assists for us popped up on my twitter feed this week, some of the passes he would pick out, were absolutely incredible. With Ziyech, i thought we were getting a player with that level of vision, and creativity, but he has been a massive disappointment for me, he doesnt come close to delivering as regularly as Mata did. He produces quality less than the much maligned Willian if we are being honest. Out of the attackers, he would be the one i would sell, every squad needs a magician, but Ziyech isnt it for me.
January 15, 20224 yr Feels like he's being picked purely on name value at this point, if Hudson Odoi performed like this week in week out he wouldn't get near the team. We need to sell him asap in the summer, and arguably Pulisic as well

January 18, 20224 yr Jasper Gronjaker was better imo. Unless we change formation he will always suck. But that’s not happening apparently

I think we were expecting a lot more from him, I notice he is better when playing with James and James can go outside and he can cut inside and either cross or shoot with his left foot. He has worked harder recently on closing players down so don't see him as a shirker the question for me is by playing him do we lose Mount who I think is generally a better offensive player for us.
January 18, 20224 yr I love him when he played for Ajax. But In This system you can’t do anything with him. He can’t shoot and don’t have killer instinct to play forward. Playmaker duty should be his thing but lately he lost to many duals and making bad decisions.

Do not use the A-word, even if supporters of A*** tell me he started out crap at their accursed club as well 😡 Edited January 18, 20224 yr by Valerie
