He could've saved the goal with better reflexes, I can't imagine Cech in his prime not swatting that away.

Their goal: Kovacic tried to nutmeg their player needlessly. After the counter Rudiger had 2 hours to clear the ball and he blundered it to corner. Corner came in and Kepa flew off the line and missed the ball by 7 meters. Our defenders lost every battle.

If I am Frank I would be baffled. I didn't even know how to fix all that.

West Ham is using the weakness of Alonso to get a corner from our left side and then targeting the far post and using weakness to expose Azpilicueta. Moyes did his scouting when we played Leicester. We're lucky that we're not losing at half time.

f**king pathetic performance, I can't think of one good performance here, it's only Pulisic who looks up for it and is actually a threat, everyone else has been garbage. 

He's the only one running and trying to beat his man. I expected that from Barkley too but he's done naff all. Tammy doesn't look at the races and less said about the back four the better.

They are giving Alonso space because they know we aren't scoring from a cross. We need to work the ball to the edge of the box and test Fabianski.

Our defending at the two corners was just horrific.

Our midfield is good and our attack can be lively but our defence is almost Norwich standard when you consider they aren’t even overworked every week like the teams near the bottom of the league.

We need an excellent assistant defensive coach !!!!

Tammy's face when giving the first corner to the opponent was the face of someone who made an own goal.
He knows.
We all know.

Seeing Azpilicueta defending corners hurts the heart.

Rudiger's stupidity in giving the second corner in a completely unnecessary move ....

We lost so many games and so many points for this crap.

We have a lot of good things, but where the hell is a coach who knows how to put the team to defend the damn corner?

It's going to take another you don't deserve to wear the badge speech I think. 

Pretty dire that's needed a few days after the last one but that's how bad we have been. 

Also, every midfield and attacking player bar Pulisic has offered nothing from open play.

I think it's a bit of both. Some of the errors would be stamped out with better coaching, but most of these mistakes are down to individual errors. Who out of our defenders is organising things back there? it doesn't look like there is any at all. Even if the coaching is bad, I am confident that 99.9% of the time, neither of the two chances they have had would have happened with the likes of Terry, Carvalho and Ivanovic in there. They clear those chances no matter what way we set up.

This game could easily been 2-0 or 2-1 in WHU favor.
Chelsea defending is absolutely shocking at this point, absolutely ZERO improvement throughout the entire season. Doesn't matter if it's Rudiger, Christensen, Tomori, Zouma, etc.; the defensive unit just can't do the job and the coaching staff is the biggest contributor of this failure.
 
 

Harsh on Tomori who's hardly had a shout in the second half of the season. Rudiger is supposed to be the senior defender and given a choice he'd be the one I replace with somebody new.

the attach needs fixing... we still have a mix of players who like direct and then players who are more posession based... with Ziyech and Werner.. we will be more direct hopefully...

Exactly but he loses his head all the time in decisive moments. He isn't tall enough to catch it but tries anyway leaving an empty goal.

That is the absolute basics of gk-ing. Knowing when to go out and when to sit.

cant remember a single positive contribution Abraham or Willian done. Lucky Pulisic won Willian a penalty to make it at least look like he’s done something. Giroud and CHO on for me now.

They was talking about whether Antonio was interfering with Kepas view and by the law he was but I could see the ball from the camera behind Kepa so Kepa could see the ball. Harsh call and this forum would go mad if it was a Chelsea goal disallowed but right but the law.
