i think this is going to be an asymmetrical or narrow 4-3-3.. especially since Giroud is starting. I expect both Mount and Willian to be fairly close to Giroud.. and more central.

Very concerned with that lineup. 

Willy instead of Kepa, and Pulisic on the bench, I wasn't expecting that.

Most offensive player in the team is Alonso ffs 

Happy with the line up, we've gone to gung ho in previous encounters this season and have come off second best each time.

Mount is usually decent playing on the left of an attacking three, plus it will give Pulisic a much needed rest.

Disappointing not to see Pulisic but happy overall with the line up. Looks strong defensively 

I guess Frank wants a hard working team today rather than flair, after 3 losses to Olly he has his thinking cap on.

 

I guess Frank is saving Pulisic for the league games which is fair enough in the scheme of things.
 

We’re due a win against this lot so I’m putting my faith in the law of averages rather than logic today.

Happy with the line-up, got a lot on the bench to make a difference!

I think Frank is saving Pulisic for later on in the game, especially considering that extra time is a possibility.

With our defense and Man U's form, anything other than a loss would be a miracle.

I see Mount tucking in as a 3 in a 5-3-2 formation. Willian playing as a 10 feeding off Giroud, leaving James and Alonso to provide any width for us. Should make us a lot more defensively sound but maybe somewhat limited going forward. With Giroud, we just need one good chance and hopefully we can nick it 1-0. I'd say we're big underdogs for this game so setting up with defence in mind is no real surprise.

That is a very defensive line up from Lampard.

yeah i meant a 3-4-3.. with Wingbacks..

After losing 4:0 2:1 2:0 we are now with 3 in the back. Tough game ahead.

i think he will be need to be on today.. generally  i think he has been improving was horrendous in a couple.. looked good in the cameo against Norwich..

Playing as a wing back should suit him better, and with Azpi behind/along side him he'll get plenty of talking to keep him in the right positions, and to cover him when he gets caught out. Agree he's been a liability at right back but I think today he has protection around him to mitigate that.

I feel incredibly nervous here. I don’t care how we play or how we do it but we just need to win.
