That front 3 is awful. I don’t think Giroud at his age can play 2 games in 5 games, Willian couldn’t run at his marker v Norwich and his starting his 3rd game in 8 days, and Mount isn’t a winger and not decisive with the ball at his feet. We have Pedro & CHO on the bench and they are both fresher, and then there is Liverpool in 3days

i think this is going to be an asymmetrical or narrow 4-3-3.. especially since Giroud is starting. I expect both Mount and Willian to be fairly close to Giroud.. and more central.

Happy with the line up, we've gone to gung ho in previous encounters this season and have come off second best each time.

Mount is usually decent playing on the left of an attacking three, plus it will give Pulisic a much needed rest.

                       De Gea
        Bailly - Lindelof - Maguire
Wan-Bissaka - Fred - Matic - Williams
                     Fernandes
               James - Rashford

I guess Frank is saving Pulisic for the league games which is fair enough in the scheme of things.

We’re due a win against this lot so I’m putting my faith in the law of averages rather than logic today.

I see Mount tucking in as a 3 in a 5-3-2 formation. Willian playing as a 10 feeding off Giroud, leaving James and Alonso to provide any width for us. Should make us a lot more defensively sound but maybe somewhat limited going forward. With Giroud, we just need one good chance and hopefully we can nick it 1-0. I'd say we're big underdogs for this game so setting up with defence in mind is no real surprise.

yeah i meant a 3-4-3.. with Wingbacks..

I am Def glad with the line up.. also glad with  pulisic being reserved. This is the battle not the war.. The war is the champions League spots... I hope Giroud can start the Liverpool and the wolves games but all in all THANK YOU JOSE

James worries me, he is in horrible form and I think he will be a huge target.

Not optimistic looking at our starting line up at all.

i think he will be need to be on today.. generally  i think he has been improving was horrendous in a couple.. looked good in the cameo against Norwich..

Playing as a wing back should suit him better, and with Azpi behind/along side him he'll get plenty of talking to keep him in the right positions, and to cover him when he gets caught out. Agree he's been a liability at right back but I think today he has protection around him to mitigate that.
