BATTLE FOR 4TH

West Ham next 6 games - @City, Leeds, @ManU, Arsenal, @Wolves, Leicester

Liverpool next 6 games - @SheffieldUtd, Chelsea, Fulham, @Wolves, @Arsenal, Villa

Everton next 6 games - Southampton, @WestBrom, @Chelsea, Burnley, Crystal Palace, @Brighton

CHELSEA next 6 games - United, @Liverpool, Everton, @Leeds, WestBrom, @Palace

Toughest run of fixtures by points ; West Ham - Chelsea - Liverpool - Everton

Looks to me that Everton could really be in front of us by the end of these fixtures, with West Ham dropping a bit. Liverpol should be able to pick up at least 4 wins.

74% voted Arteta 😞 I mean as a Chelsea fan I hope he stays there for years but as a football fan I find this horrifying, the games increasingly becoming about popularity and being liked as opposed to being the best in your field.

Lukaku under Conte is something else, can't believe we went for Morata !!! 😩

Flat track stat padder like Bruno Fernandes.

When he truly matters he's got a bigger reputation for own goals than actual goals.

You clearly didnt watch him for the past two seasons at Inter if thats your opinion.

And i would take Fernandes stats padding at Chelsea.

Lingard has scored more open play goals against the top six today than Bruno has done in his whole United career.

They've as a team scored more goals from open play vs the top six with Donny Van De Beek (who will prove to be better if given a proper chance) than they've done with Bruno.

Dear God, they are basically cultists. Only a moron would choose Arteta over Ancelotti.

Ugh ok ? we have difficulty scoring goals against anyone, at least he scores goals. 22 goals and 16 assists in 38 games, you dont want that ?

Ideally yes, but if the trade off is we have to build our entire system around him and get even worse against the very big teams then no.

Hero ball may win the odd cup but it doesn't win titles.

I get what you are trying to say but lets say we replace Werner by Fernandes, i'm pretty sure we wouldnt be in a battle for top 4 and we wouldnt have to make our system based around him.

and i was talking about Lukaku and how i was impressed by his progession under Conte, not sure where your opinion of him being a stats padder came from because since he joined Inter he's been their best player and one of the best in Seria A.

I'm with Argo on this one. Lukaku just looks good. His goals are mostly in games where the opponents are already losing. He'll normally be the one who scores goals no. 3 and 4.

He's not the great striker his stats makes him out to be.

Would still take him over anything we currently have pertaining to be a striker.

Boy, how we could do with a striker who bullies defenders and .............................score goals!

I watched the 2nd half of Arsenal v City.

Interesting match, City clearly the better team though Arsenal did reasonably well containing them yet they struggled to create chances.

Stones made an interesting shoulder to shoulder challenge in a footrace against Aubameyang late on and Luiz a late sub took out Reuben of City with a shoulder to the sternum challenge.

De Bruyne was subbed off and had a mixed game, seems like he has been out for a while.

I can see Arsenal being relegated within ten years, if not five.

A fanbase that will lower it's standards to whatever level nessesery to accommodate Arteta because they like him + board/owner that will exploit that = the perfect storm for such a spectacular demise.

I'm not keen on Lukaku a bit one dimensional for me, yet I agree just now he would be an improvement on what we have.
